September 22, 200520 yr Stapled my left thumb today in chemistry class--whole class was shocked, cept me, it didnt hurt that much (till the nurse took it out) Besides that my right wrist is sore right now, pulled a muscle at some point i guess...not sure but it might be due to my rubik's cubing--quite possible

Hurt beyond belief. (I already posted the dumber one, but the stapling in chemistry reminded me of this)
September 23, 200520 yr Today was this festival day thing at school to raise money. There was this event called the horizontal bungee. You're tied to one end of this bouncy castle thing, and you have to run as far as you can and then place this thing onto a velcro strap, and you compete against someone else. I lost to my friend all four times, and often after I had placed the thing on the velcro strap, I was pulled backwards very sharply and rolled. Twice I landed straight on my head as I bounced. I had a headache and now have several bruises and grazes. I think I finally attained negative dignity. Oh, and last year, during jewellery, I was buffing my ring on the buffer thing (this fluffy thing attached to a rod, used to clean jewellery). My apron was untied and my friend put the string of my apron onto the rod, unaware what it would do. It pulled my hand into the machine and made the bone visible. The scar is still there, but it has faded mostly. I blamed my friend's Asian eyes.
September 23, 200520 yr once i shut the car door with my hand still in the door, and my mum started to drive off with my thumb still in the door. THAT HURT!
September 23, 200520 yr 3. I set my jeans on fire (didnt actually injur myself but its stupid anyway) while drunk, sitting on the sofa and didnt notice the candles on the floor x_X I cant stop laughing cause i keep thinking "liar liar pants on fire" :D :D :D :D :D Anyways here are some of mine: when i was like 8 i stapled my thumb, but not just in the flesh, i stapled it straight through the nail At the age of 10 me and a couple of friends tried who could jump not the highest but the most distance. But since we were 10 and 'cool' we didnt go to the sandbox or anything, we did it on a slippery patch of grass. I decided to go first so ran really fast and jumped feet first. The jumping and the flying throught the air part i could handle, but the landing broke my arm :( Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)
September 23, 200520 yr Well... Me and my mates were playing footy/soccer in my local field, I was in goal. My mate tried to chip me, i jumped back, punched it away and landed on the handle bars of a bike we used as posts. nothing serious just really painful. :o
September 24, 200520 yr Not much of an injury as such, but I lit my pubic hair on fire a few times and showed my parents.
September 24, 200520 yr my friend and i burned our armpit hair in chemistry class : D burned a little bit ;) ok so its not an injury, but wgaf.. Doctor of Dental Surgery-2014Medical Doctor-2018?Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon-2024?
September 24, 200520 yr I was sleeping by my cousin.. We always made fires and we did it again.(I was around 6 or 7) We did everything in the fire like tables, lots of wood, chairs(from steel). I thought that the chair was not good into the fire,so I wanted to throw the chair in the middle of the fire. So how dump I was I grapped the hot (steel) chair and after that I had to put my hands in almost freezing water :? ,there was nothing else  And I had a 2 fire injurie(or something  ) ~pretty stupid

September 28, 200520 yr I guess I pissed of some kid in preschool and he threw a wooden building block at my head...this was back when kids still played with real wood - solid oak I think, about 8 inches long, 4 inches wide, 2 inches thick...cut my forhead wide open, now I got this big scar there :? that one doesn't really count though because I didn't do it to myself, and I really don't remember it - this is what my parents told me... (I was like 4 then and I'm sure the whole head trauma didn't help) stupidest thing I did to myself, that I remember, was my senior year in high school...I was taking an electricity class just for the hell of it, and when we were doing the unit on house wireing, we had these little diagrams of the power source, and then a room's various wall outlets, light switches, and built in ceiling lights, etc...we had this big wooden frame where we had to build the design, so that one wire running in would power all these things in a certain order...I was tightening a screw down on a wire in the back of one of those ceremic lightbulb fistures and the phillips screwdriver slipped off the screw and went right into my left hand, in that wierd area between your index finger and your thumb...punches straight through the skin and hit some of the muscle - hurt like no other... i threw the screwdriver into the sink in the back of the room, washed my hand, admired the hole for a minute, and then grabbed a wad of paper towel to apply pressure to it without bleeding all over myself...then informed the teacher (who was in his first year of teaching and had no idea what the hell he was doing :)) that I was going to the nurse...walked out - had stopped the bleeding by the time I got there, which surprised me since, with the right light, I could actually see down into my hand...they made me go to the hospital and get 4 stitches...next time I saw the teacher, he's like 'what happened' and was freaking out cos, it /was/ his first year teaching there, first semester, and one of his students goes to the hospital - he thought I was going to sue him or the school or something, it was pretty funny ;) got a nice little scar there too :P edit: where "illegal program" = s-c-a-r...wierd censor :?
September 28, 200520 yr I had a plastic coke 12oz (i think it's 12 oz) bottle in my hand and I punched my friend and dislocated my thumb a few weeks ago, still hurts a bit... lol ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï(̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâú_o)/̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï
September 28, 200520 yr i was visiting a friend on my birthday, i weared woolsocks and were walking down the stairs, slipped and hit my head into three of the steps so i got a hole in my head. had to sew two stictches and wear a bandage thru my birthday party. 1st grade, i was running to get some toys because the freequarter was out so we had to tidy it up, i ran into my friend and i got a big cut on the INSIDE of my chin. had to sew three stitches inside my mouth and the drugs dont taste well. September 28, 200520 yr Two stupid injuries for me lol.... I was jumping on my parents' bed like any toddler would, and I fell... and my chin smacked the bedframe, according to my parents. Was bleeding and crying, eventually got cleaned up, but after the cut healed, I was left with a tiny scar on my chin. It's not really noticeable, only about a centimeter long and has faded away some. Only time you would notice is if I tilt back my head a bit and if under the correct lighting, you can see it. =============================================== 01 April 2004 I was on the USS Potomic (Franklin Delanor Roosevelt's boat :D ) on a fieldtrip with my Epic & Myth class, taking pictures. Was having a grand time just going around the bay, when all of a sudden the boat lurched to the side and I tripped over the anchoring equipment. Needless to say, I landed sprawled over the deck and the crew men came running to me asking if I was okay while the captain was staring at me like I was really stupid. So I told them I was fine, and kinda limped back to the lower deck to rest for a while. Then, we docked and was catching the metro street cars back to school. But when I got off the car, there was a ditch right in front that I didn't see and again I fell, all messy looking. Fortunately my friend, a year lower than me, caught me in time, but by the end of the day, my ankle was sore and I had to limp the ten blocks back to school. And because I could go see a doctor due to money and insurance issues, all I could do was limp and keep as little weight as possible off the ankle (was sprained). I did let my Assistant Army Instructor have a look at it though afterwards, and it seems to have recovered, although now and again I get echos of pain in it. :-? Unfortunately, it meant I had to stop dancing or risk further injury. :( Adventurer's Log || YouTube || Facebook || Tip.it Times Work || Wanna Join the Editorial Panel?Maxed Out 01 October 2012 PDT
September 28, 200520 yr Hey forsakenmage. I remember you, you're still on my friends list. Remember my character Shaltoa? I didn't know you still played...or if you don't play, I didn't know you hovered around these forums either. Anyway, on to the injuries. Once I was watching looney toons and there was an octopus spinning around. Of course, like most kids, I had to try and sping myself and after about 2 rotations I got dizzy, fell over and cracked my chin on the corner of a desk. Oh were the steri-strips painful. Then one time I was at school on the playground. Our tire swing had broken and only the chains it used to hang from were left. I guess I decided it would be great fun to swing on the leftover chains but after a swing or two I lost my grip and slid down the chain. Lucky me, my tooth broke my fall! It caught on one of the chain links, probably because I tilted my head forward as I started to slip and the chain kinda hit me in teh mouth and snagged a corner. The chip exposed the nerve and oh was that pleasant. When we went to the dentist he got ready to jab me in the gums with an enormous novacaine needle I wouldn't allow it. I'm terrified of needles...especially ones that are more than half a foot long. So I decided I could handle the procedure without the novacaine....I should've taken the novacaine. It felt like a hornet was stinging me right in the nerve. I still have a lovely little gray corner on one of my front teeth to remind me of how stupid I was when I was a kid. Another time on the school playground I was on the jungle gym, several feet in the air and I slipped off a bar, falling backwards. Not sure how but I managed to do a half twist in the air so that my face was towards the jungle gym as I went head first towards the ground and my chin caught on the lower bars on the jungle gym. I have a few more less interesting stories but the previous three are probably my most tramatic injuries. I was in a car wreck and came out with nothing but a bruise on my shoulder from the seatbelt so that doesn't really count..... If you care to hear about some other people's misfortunes.... My best friend is really accident prone and his parents hated to take him to any picnics because he was accident prone when he was little. They knew they'd have to take him to the emergency room, it just became a routine for them. Once he was watching everyone play horse shoes and a little girl asked if she could try. He was standing right behind her and she swung the horse shoe but like most little kids has apsolutely not sense of timing and let go of it when her arm was over her head. So it went flying behind her and smacked him right between the eyes. Another time he went to drink his coke and swallowed a bee..... Oh and there was the time he was trying to help carry poles for a volley ball net and went off running with one. It slipped out of his hands and one in planted firmly in the ground while the other managed to swing around and catch him right in the face. Ahhhh, I have a good one. My dad is a welding teacher and one of his students got the bright idea a month or so ago, to make a cannon. What does he decide to make his cannon barrel from? Perhaps heavy gauge steel pipe? Why heck no, that stuff costs money. Aaahhh, a car muffler pipe, this should do the trick, right? Okay, now I'll just fill it with 8 times the amount of gunpowder with which one would normally load a 50 cal muzzle loader. There we go, now what to use for ammo. Ah, I know, a golf ball, this won't flatten and mushroom out jamming in the pipe under the force of the expanding explosives will it? I guess I'll never know unless I try. *loads the cannon* alright, now to leave a small trail of gunpowder leading to the cannon. Gunpowder burns slowly, right? Just like in those cartoons. *lights gunpowder* *gunpowder burns up instantly* *cannon goes off and explodes like a grenade* Needless to say they couldn't even pick all the pieces of shrapnel out of him. It blew off several pieces of his fingers on one hand, only some of which could be sewn back. Blew away parts of his chest muscle and bicep. Lucky for him a chunk of metal didn't hit him in the neck and slit an artery. EDIT: Please excuse the poor grammer, spelling, and typos in this post. Normally I would edit my post to fix all the errors but it's 11:50am here and I haven't been to bed yet.
September 28, 200520 yr When I was a little kid, maybe 5 or 6 years old, I used to jump down the stairs every day so I used to sprain my ancle a lot lol whenever I got the cast off my foot I'd go and do it again I must have sprained it around 10 times in 1 year lol ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
September 29, 200520 yr earlier this year i was out on the motocross track practicing, because it was my last year to try and finish in the top ten in points before i had to sell my bike and go to college, and i was doing fine until i hit a rut wrong, which wouldnt have been a big deal except it was up the face of an uphill double. needless to say i lost all momentum, came up short on the double while crossed up from the rut. i swapped back and forth and finally got tossed off to the side, and i landed right on my shoulder. the doctor at the ER said i had just sprained it, but when i went to an othopedic doctor, he told me that i had separated my collarbone from the rest of my shoulder, and its pretty much never going to be right again. i just rode again for the first time last weekend, and i am really out of shape. oh and incase anyone is wondering, i am still in the top 80 or so in points, even with only 2 races.
