Emmentail Posted January 7, 2009 Share Posted January 7, 2009 With the new D&D I thought about compiling a list other than on a scrap of paper pinned to my noticedboard that reminds me what to try and do each day on RS. Some things I came up with for Daily Tasks: -Bork -Jade Vine alternate check health/attack -Herb Run -100% On MTK -64 Battlestaves from Zaff's Staff Shop -Buy Pineapples & Seaweed from Arhein on Catherby Docks. -Collect buckets of sand from Bert in Yanille. -Phoenix Quills. The Weekly Tasks: -Circus -Penguins -Tears of Guthix I was wondering if anyone else had anything to add to this, or even to comment about the amount of repeatable tasks Jagex are introducing. Also does anyone have a rough time when these events become replayable? I know for sure with Zaff he resets at 12.00am GMT. But with Arhein he seems to keep telling me to come back later somedays. If you try talk to them even 1 minute earlier, they will say the stuff isn't available yet. In the case of Arhein you'll have to buy out his entire stock before this timer starts counting. One little trick to check whether Zaff will sell you battlestaff is to wear the Lumbridge Explorer's rings. The ring recharges at the same time that Zaff restocks. Blutters Posted January 7, 2009 Share Posted January 7, 2009 I hope that they add little reminders that sometimes appear around the Minimap/HP/Summoning/Prayer Gauges or just one list that's accessed from a new tab at roughly the same area that has all repeatable tasks listed and when you click one it tells you when you can do it again. A new Yellow starred tab, with information like : how many penguins you've seen this week, how many points you have left. which circus acts you have performed this week if you are elligable for a star sprite reward if you have done the phoenix for the day and then optional ones that you can trigger for example Bork & Zaff. Mine resets at 4:23 P.M. every day. Battlestaffs, however start the timer when you buy them all. But the timer doesn't go an entire day. I think it's more like 20 hours. Any confirmation on this? The Tip.it Times article "Don't forget your chores" sparked a conversation of repeatable tasks. Link here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=769269 I would support a Repeatable tasks star tab on the quest tab that would tell me how long it is until I can repeat a task. The three stars could be next to each other instead of the changing-colour-when-clicked thing. An ingame message like "You can now talk to Bert about a new sand delivery" would also be useful. I'm guessing the flax gatherer from Seers diary is probably going to be repeatable task so the rate at which these tasks are introduced seems to be growing. But getting the seaweed every day with the sand is nice for anyone who likes to earn crafting xp in many varied ways as possible.The gold comes second. Mercifull Posted January 7, 2009 Share Posted January 7, 2009 Battlestaffs and Bork reset at 00:00 Jagex time. Sand and Misc are unfortunatly from the time you collect the sand. I wish that all the repeatable stuff reset at the same time each day or week. A problem I have encountered with Tears of Guthix is that it gets later and later everytime I do it until it skips a day and the cycle continues. I think my Tears is on Sundays now but in the near fiture will move to mondays as its already getting very late.
