Hey, I'm a little torn between which ring I should use on slayer tasks, more specifically Abberant Spectres.

 

 

 

Should I use a Berserker Ring for +4 Strength bonus, or Ring of Wealth to have a chance at better drops to help cover prayer potion costs.

 

 

 

I'm leaning towards Wealth but I have that skepticism if it actually works [noticeably].

on spectres use the zerker, as the rare drops are rune full helm, mystic robe and snap seeds, which are fairly common anyways.

 

wealth is only good at monsters with high value rare drops, metal dragons, cave horrors, spirit mages etc.

Do you have Berserker? If so use that.

 

If not Warrior with whip is a good, cheaper alternative.

 

Wealth is pointless at spectres.

^ What he said, I used an Explorer's Ring for Prayer bonus once, and ended up getting more rannars than my usual ROW trips. Which payed for my trip, not including the other rarer drops I got. :)

NO to wealth.

 

 

 

So either use warrior or zerker. I own both zerker and warrior and mostly prefer warrior. However if I get a task where the monster has low def i'll use zerker. Warrior is only about 150k, so just buy both and interchange them.

Well I used a Ring of Wealth and I'm very satisfied with the results...

 

 

 

200k+ loot and a level 3 clue. I used 7 doses of prayer pot (I prayed at alter when banking) with RoW.

 

 

 

Definitely better than hitting one more or a little bit more accuracy.

Just some general information to keep in mind: ROW gives you rarer drops, not necessarily better (expensive, stackable).

Wealth is so situational. It depends on your purposes. For something with few drops but some good ones (Greater Demons for example) use the wealth. For something dropping say herbs use a different ring.

Personally, always wear a wealth, because the supposedly increased chance for me to maybe get something nice is better than the *possibility* to have the chance to hit 1 higher.

 

 

 

Warrior rings are what...+4 accuracy? That's next to worthless if you look at it proportionally. Honestly how much difference can 127 as opposed to 123 accuracy make? That's what...2-3% more accuracy? I'm staunchly biased against fremmenik rings though, so maybe my advise isn't that great.

Wealth won't do much at abby spec, because it really only helps with rune full helms and mystic robes, and the bulk of your profit is going to come from the herbs anyway. Herb drops aren't considered rare, so the wealth doesn't affect them...so whether you pick wealth or zerker ring, neither one is going to have a dramatic effect on your training. I'd go with the explorer ring m'self, but the ring slot is your textbook case of the "not a big deal" slot.

Ring of life if you could die -.-

 

And even in other cases it's situational. I didn't invest: I don't see a reason to so I always use a wealth or life ring. :|

I usually alch rune and mystic things, aren't thsoe like 30k and 40k alchs respectively? That's a good deal mroe than any herb that I'm familiar with :shock:

He could be correct. Most bosses can 2 hit someone yeah? Ring of Life only works when it falls under 10% of max HP, not if you're 42 and then get taking straight to 0.

A RoW will seriously increase your profit margin at aberrant specters.

 

 

 

A berserker is pointless. I have 10% strength prayer on at aberrant specters are hardly notice any difference. I doubt that the berserker ring will even approach that kind of bonus. Go for the money.

As for slayer in general: always RoW. There are a few tasks which don't have any good drops such as kalphites, but you are supposed to cannon those anyway. I had a berserker ring for a while, but I sold it and never looked back. I also had a warrior ring. Same thing though.

 

 

 

A slayer is married to his RoW.
