January 17, 200917 yr I don't mind walking for the sake of going for a walk every now and then. However, as far as transportation goes, I really hate to walk places. I would rather run, bike, drive, anything. I guess I'm just impatient. With friends is different though of course.
January 17, 200917 yr How much I enjoy the walk really depends on how much I like the person I'm walking with. If I'm feeling really egoistical I can have the greatest time just walking down the street. One exception to that though, if it's a really cool place to walk anyway like by the mountains or sea or something then it's awesome too.
January 17, 200917 yr i mostly curse and swear when i walk, it's waaaay too cold up here to think anything rational
January 17, 200917 yr Author i mostly curse and swear when i walk, it's waaaay too cold up here to think anything rational Yeah that happens too. When I have to walk to my bus stop and it's freezing in the morning I always swear about how I hate school and the cold to my brother.
January 17, 200917 yr When I'm at home I enjoy taking my dog for a walk because it allows me to clear my head and think about things more clearly. At Uni I love walking along the sea front and staring out to sea or at night just listening to the waves, great for thinking which I seem to do too much of these days. "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale."
January 17, 200917 yr I only walk when I come home from school and that's one hour each time. I don't usually go out for a walk for the fun of it, my parents would think it weird of me and they're really over protective, won't even let me go running after 6pm :\ I usually go out to take photo's at night so I guess it is pretty relaxing walking through the woods alone, senses alert at every little sound, the darkness masking your vision past the trees. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

January 17, 200917 yr i like walking in the rain and such. once in mississippi, we had the remnants of some minor hurricane coming through, just sheeting rain, could barely see, my friend and i just went for a walk out around the campground. the rain was warm, we didn't really go anywhere, we just talked and talked and talked and walked and walked and walked till we got tired of walking, then we went in and my parents were pissed, we soaked like 3 towels drying off. then last summer we had some huge rain storm up here in wisconsin, roads were flooded and stuff, my fellow apartment tenants were just standing under the porch watching cars go through the deep water, i was like, i'm gonna go for a walk. went back to my apartment, got a sweater, walked past them, and was gone for like, an hour. i hate walking in the cold though, and walking anywhere is more fun with friends. January 17, 200917 yr I love walking, often when I'm feeling stressed/tired or ill a quick half hour walk listening to a podcast or some music really clears my head. I also like longer walks, one of my happiest school memories was doing the three peaks (25 miles) with a group of friends. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
January 17, 200917 yr I really do over look walking. I enjoy it when I am with my mates/iPod/dog, but most of the time I walk the dog and my sister comes, I hate that. She's just annoying, and make me looks like an idiot because of something she did. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
January 18, 200917 yr and walking anywhere is more fun with friends. Thats a matter of opinion, I have more fun walking by myself, getting lost in a train of thought that gets split into too many tangents. Its like when you start reading a book, and then you start reading another book, and another one, and soon you are reading three books at once
January 18, 200917 yr I enjoy walking, I walk to and from school everyday (about 4 miles in total) I often daydream while I walk, often about how I would have had handled situations I found myself in during the day differently if I had superpowers, or amazing martial arts abilities. I especially like walking in the rain, but only if it's really heavy rain, 'cause I just love the feeling of sudden warmth when you get inside, also, it makes me look really hard, as I'll normally only be wearing my school shirt (very thin), a zip-up hoodie (not that thick, also unzipped) and my trousers (also thin). I like to think that I'm making all the big "tough" guys that I walk past feel insecure, 'cause they're wearing big coats, and this scrawny 15 year old is barely protected at all, but he doesn't care 99.99999998465% of the world's population is not me, if you are the 0.00000001535% that is me, put this in you signature -"being famous is like being a woman, if you have to tell people you are, you aren't"
January 18, 200917 yr I like to enjoy my walk, which means I walk slowly. My friends always ask me to hurry up and I always reply with "Why? What's the hurry? I like to enjoy my walks thank you very much and take in the atmosphere. Life isn't one giant hurry and if you walk too quickly, you'll miss everything." They just don't get it lol The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

January 18, 200917 yr I usually walk when I feel like stressed or if I just don't feel alright, it is very calming. It's nice and relaxing. Though, I usually walk with headphones in my ear listening to my iPod, it is a great way to relax for me.
January 18, 200917 yr Ugh, I hate walking. It's way too slow IMO, since usually the thing I'm thinking of when walking alone is "When will I get there". Even when I see my goal it's still a while before I reach it walking. Although I do agree that sometimes I get philosophical epiphanies (those were a lot of syllables) while walking, and it's nice to walk beside a friend and be able to talk.
January 19, 200917 yr I love to read while I walk. It's a lot easier than you think and much better than reading in your house. ]
