Kietaro1
I also enjoy skilling. More than combat. But I also don't understand why they create a level 3 account to do it. That is the waste of time. It is more of a challenge and people enjoy challenges
chris924
In my opinion being a skiller is like joining the army to be a cook. But hey, to each their own, whatever makes the game fun for you.
drgnslyer_15
mm... maybe people get bored so they make a side account which only purpose is to raise skills for some fun. i personally dont bother with skilling accounts. kind of a waste of time.. i agree with you on that point. why waste time on a 2nd char when you can put all your time into one and have one nice acct instead of 2 subpar accts RSN: drgnslyer15 15 skills 90+ - 10 skills 99 - 200m+ total exp

Racheya
I can see most sides of this. I have one account and I train most skills. Combat... Skilling... neither is better than the other. Without combat the resources skills make would be useless and without skillers, combat would have no food, weapons & armour, runes ect. Each relies on the other and neither is better than the other. Everybody has a personal preference of course but to say skillers are wrong is just ignorant in my opinion. Runescape is not all about combat and I think a lot of people (myself included) enjoy Runescape because of this. I personally wouldn't make a level 3 account to skill, but I don't mind anybody who does and I'll respect them just like I would a player with level 130 combat... or level 70 combat... or level 23 combat... I'd say just whatever. If they enjoy it then that's their choice. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator]. holycannoli
Frig, I'll probably never get a 99 at all. i'd enver grind away for it, I'm too impatient. How long would that take, anyways? My highest is 72, and I doubt I'll ever force it up to 73.
mister_moocky
104 combat, 96 range, and 3 skills still at 1 =D>. I'd still have 1 rc but I wanted to get skulled for a painted rune kite, and since the wild wasn't pvp, I had to do the abyss miniquest, which got me to 9... Anyway, with combat there is always the risk of dying, which makes it far more exciting for me. Click a tree, click a tree, click a tree, bank... blech. If you want to skill, do it on your main; a level 3 skiller isn't good for much. I find it ironic that people think that high combat with low noncombat skills makes you a "noob" but low combat with high noncombat skills makes you awsome. Some skills, like cooking and firemaking, are simply useless for me to train, so I only do it for quests. quit

ddaanniiellh
Well, I'll say this once again. Playing as a skiller is a sense of personal pride. To be able to achieve something that no one or few others have done (Achieving an actual "high leveled" skiller, depending on opinions of "high leveled"). It gives you a different view of the game. You've already gone through the game once on "easy mode", why not add a few challenges to it by staying below a certain combat. For example: Very few of the "good" places to mine on F2P are very difficult for Low leveled skillers because of Scorpions, similarly with Willows, it's much harder to Woodcut when you have Dark Wizards trying to kill you every couple of seconds. In summary: Skillers is a different type of challenge, and a different view of the game. It's up to the person to play how they want. The main point: To Have Fun! ~Dan : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube!

It's like playing hard mode on a game when you can play easy mode. Except you're making the hard mode yourself. It's enjoy a sense of self-achievement, so why not? I'm assuming you yourself have set a goal for maxing out everything (Just an assumption based on your stats), no one ever said that is a necessary goal, but when you reach it, it is an achievement that you have accomplished. Nowhere is it actually stated that this, officially, is an achievement, but it is an achievement because it makes you stand out from everyone else. Similarly with skillers, they stand out, and try to do things differently, this is the achievement. ~Dan : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube! RichieMcD
There's some people who simply just don't like the combat skills, even though all RS skills are the same, sit there and click over and over. My view on skillers is it's mostly people who prefer more of a challenge to the game, it's always much more impressive to see a skiller with a 99 such as Herblore / Farming / Construction than a level 100+ due to the simple fact there's much more a challenge involved. Bauke
Weird sense of self-achievement. Runescape doesn't really have an easy mode. I'm sure all those lvl 3 skillers don't have maxed out accounts. (In fact I'm guessing they have failure mains which they got bored of) Crippling yourself and doing something which isn't very exciting for normal players just isn't quite something we all have to be amazed about. PlzPuddngPlz
I don't think that there is much point to having a second account, especially if you have to work for the (hard earned) levels that you already had. In a nutshell, why redo all that stuff instead of just using your first account? Also, I hate that since I'm level 96, people practically expect me to have 99 fletching or whatever, but I'm that level because i've been playing for 4 years, and 1 hour of your RS time is equal to 3 days of mine. Thanks for hearing me out, i've been wanting to say that for a while now. Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. Suggestions appreciated This guide is as concise as a gourmet's handbook with the guidelines of "Pick up fork, stab food, insert into your mouth, then chew". arisaka
I respect the skillers who hate combat and love skilling. I have ABSOLUTELY no respect for the people who get 99 skills JUST FOR THE CAPE and/or the emote. That's just stupid. But skillers are fun. It's more of a challenge. I myself make new accounts when I'm bored on my main. Arisaka, the Japanese rifle. O_o Tell me, did any of you happen to kill a red spy on the way here? No? Then we still have a problem. Bulls***. It all depends on where you skill and how you manage to deal with things. If you don't enjoy newbs asking you questions, just turn the Public/Private chats to Friends. Lethological
I've had a few skillers, but it's too much to keep up with. One account seems to work a lot more effectively. Creative signature missing.

Couldnt have said it better =D> Nicely put analogy. No, runescape does not have an easy mode, but individual skills do. Of course, people who do everything just for the pride I have no respect for. But even the Level 3s with the cooking or firemakig capes, even though they may be shunned by everyone else, I may give a trace or respect to. I mean, Id think itd take a while to "make" 3m on a new level 3 account. Off-topic: Why does Tip.it seem to be so anti-skiller?
J35u5_M4
I haven't been a pure skiller myself, but I do all skills myself, I think the main reason of skillers is that they're trying to find something new to do, challenging (Skilling isn't easy when your HP is only 10 :P) and they also dislike combat I think, pures are the total opposite, but there are some pures that train skills and keep their builds
Resonae
Skillers have been done and done to nausea... the epicness of seeing a level 3 with skillcapes is gone now. So really the only reason to skill now is to let off some steam by becoming a noob again. MR. OCTOPUS BEARD DISAGREES! No, THAT's what she said. Wanna know how to keep an idiot busy?
