When playing RuneScape, how often do you look up the people that you come across? And what causes you to decide to look them up? Their level, their outfit, etc.?

 

 

 

I look up people quite a bit. Usually if they have a cool username or are wearing a skill cape that I like.

I look up people with interesting names, and people that are insulting me about my stats.

Only look up players if they insult my stats or if they brag about their crazy levels.

Same, but I also compare stats with friends. (mainly one super obssesed friend with several 99s)

I look up peoples stats all the time. Whenever I'm curious about the task they are doing or how much better they are than me I check them up.

 

 

 

Sometimes I also check to see if they are a newbie or a skiller. Most of the time it's a skiller. :

day after wgs someone was bragging about their qp cape and everything, pointed out how their non ranked farming made that a bit difficult.

I usually do if something they say/do sparks my interest. Sometimes I do it for no reason at all, sometimes I do it out of boredom. One thing's for sure though: I wouldn't do it if I didn't have SwiftKit because chances are I'd be too lazy.

I look people up when I'm air running at the F2P altar and there's someone spouting '10x' and I find out he's not even on the high scores :roll: You don't know how many people you can pwn for lying about their multiple. \

 

 

 

The high scores are only useful for shooting down noobs :thumbsup:

I look up random people if I'm curious about something. Usually I just check my own ranks and the ranks of friends though :ugeek: :lol: .

I do, I find it rather interesting. A few years back, I saw a person at Entrara, took a picture for some odd reason, and looked em up. Was one of the top 50 players at the time.

 

It's just neat, and it gets you in tuned with other people in a sense, makes you think about how other people play.

Yeah I do, I met this quest nub with quest cape about 2 months ago I we both became friends and we barely talked for 2 months so I was just looking up my friends and she got 99 agility... and like some others but yeah and I got 2 99's too while she got that :D lol lots can happen in a few months

I look up people who brag about their levels, just to check if it's actually true. Also, I look up almost every slayer I see when I'm doing slayer. :P

I rarely look people up. If I happen to have the highscores open for some reason I might. Or if I find someone bragging about stats that I find hard to believe.

Only if I already have the scores open. I sometimes look up people on my friends list. Other than that, there have been a few occasions (mostly while fishing) where people have bragged about levels and I have 'shot them down'.

I only look someone up if they're in my clan and I have to update their levels on the goal list or if they claim to have some awesome impressive level and I think they're BSing me.

I likely spend an average of 1-2 hours looking at the Hiscores each day - looking up people I enjoy tracking the progress of, random skillers I stumble across to see if they're very good, people that look like good F2P'ers, people with interesting/original names, and if I can be bothered sometimes people with a nice skill cape on (non-buyables).

I look people up occasionally, usually when:

 

 

 

1. Someone boasts a stat too good to be true, and I feel obligated to look them up and shout "Noob" a few dozen times, maybe rallying a little jeering from nearby onlookers.

2. Someone calls me "noob" or insults me. I have them looked up within 20 seconds for a quick reply with "Get some stats, then come talk to me" :thumbsup:

 

 

 

3. I get a new level which crosses a level boundry, or I just feel like seeing how well im doing compared to friends.

Exactly. It's funny when I kill someone in CW and they say I have no skills, then I look them up and they have a 1500 total. I only tolerate when people with 2100+ totals make fun of my skills. ;)

I almost always look up someone that has a decent skillcape on, or a cool/unique name.

All the time, with that one tip it addon thing for firefox. It helps shape my strategy in FoG and helps deal with liars.

I only look up people with swicked names.

Man, if I could do stat spy I'd get enough runes for a thousand casts and sit around the GE picking random high-levels and hoping they have a nub stat somewhere that I can mock.
