imbackstinkers
Those who work out might know what i mean. The day/two days after you work out/lift weights your arms are usually sore, this had been happening to me for a few weeks but suddenly i can lift weights every day for a half hour each day without any soreness in my arms.Im just wondering if after a few weeks of working out if day after soreness becomes a thing of the [ast
Kiriyama
At first your body is getting used to the new useage. When it does, it doesn't feel the pain anymore. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
i_love_burritos
Yes, Sworddude is correct in saying it will pain less, but the pain you feel, is actually muscle fibers tearing/breaking, this is how muscle is developed. After these broken proteins have been repaired, you gain extra muscle. So no, when you feel pain, its your muscles growing.

Diesel
After a while it goes away. Just keep at it. If you stop because of the soreness and wait till it goes away, once you start back up again the soreness comes back worse than before. At least it did for me. obfuscator
Eventually it won't hurt as much. I found when I used to work out the legs always hurt the most. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
mmmcannibalism
its a mix of generally getting used to the workout(from your muscles point of view), also its possible you are getting used to the soreness to some extent. Agreed, it also makes me feel accomplished in some odd way, lol. Anyone's jaw or foot muscles/ligaments ever get like, contracted? The pain is numbing and I often make it happen on my foot on purpose because in a way it's enjoyable. I dunno. It's weird.

deathdrow
the soreness just means your muscles are actually getting exercise. look at it in a positive way. it generally goes away after a few days.
VjuliusT
learn to enjoy it I have to say I do, although it's not when I'm personally experiencing it but when a good friend of mine have it and I punch him here and there while he screams out in pain. Orpheus
Ah, just let your muscles recover for a day, and then work out some more the next day. Working out every other day will keep your muscles in decent form, from experience. In August, I could barely run a mile, now I can run about two because of all the running I did at uni between classes. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
Rebdragon
If you aren't sore after a workout and the day after, you either aren't doing it right or need to change things up so that your body doesn't get used to the workout routine. Although the soreness when you first start out is generally bad enough to keep you out of commission for two days or so, there should still be at least some soreness that you feel after any workout, especially if you're lifting. If there's no soreness your muscles probably ain't growing. jjrox32
I got this all the time playing football. The first week and a half I would wake up so stiff and sore that it hurt to walk. Although I love that feeling you get after a really hard workout.
