I'm starting to get wrinkly veins popping out around my hips. 3) What can help me grow taller? I'm 14 and 5 foot 3 inches. Thanks :D
March 11, 200917 yr Short, cut and dry answers - Will post back in more detail: 1.) Situps 2.) Cycling and Swimming 3.) Chinups and stretching.

March 11, 200917 yr just make sure when you do situps and such you do them slowly and deliberately, makes it a lot harder but you will feel an actual improvement in like 3 days. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.
March 11, 200917 yr you are actually too young for worrying about that... wait for sometime...start working out when u're 16-17 yrs old... presently just focus on sports... and you can always jog /run/cycle/swim. 99 Woodcutting | 99 Constitution | 99 PrayerScapin since July 05'
March 11, 200917 yr 1. for abs, just start out with proper sit ups,but once you stop noticing a difference, start working out with some weights in order to keep progressing. 2. same goes for finding exercises for your legs, although you are a little too young to be worrying about this. 3. come on now, you're fourteen...you don't need anything to help you grow...men usually continue to grow until they are eighteen, and some times even longer..depending on the person, wait it out.
March 11, 200917 yr There really need to be a working out sticky... Anyway, To get my fab 6 - pack, I do sit-ups. Along with other upper body exercises to build up muscles on my torso, a 6 pack looks [cabbage] without pecs. Also you really need to do them every day, if you skip one day, they will disappear. Try a vertical press-up But you are only 14. as for keep legs thin and sexy, Run, walk, cycle... And height, are you that bothered? Luck be a Lady
March 11, 200917 yr As for one, sit ups, pure and simple. Number two, it's winter, depending where you live, if you have snow, why not try x-country skiing? Or, if not, try to find something fun and exciseish. For example, running on a tredmill can be boring...But running while playing videogames... 8-) Oh, I drink ooldes of milk, and im tall...So, drink plently of milk  Im not in great shape, I'm about avarage, so i don't even know if that would work

March 12, 200917 yr The question "how to I get muscly?" isn't tough one to answer. The tough part is sticking with it. With proper diet. And spending three+times a week at the gym. For years. YEARS. Note: If you say you have hard abs at fourteen but have a fair amount of fat over it, I don't know why you're asking for advice. Unless of course your "hard abs" really aren't worth mentioning mate. And don't stress out so much about your height, it doesn't matter as much as you think it does (at least not in college in later years). And besides, I'm assuming your father is of at least average height, so you're going to grow. You're fourteen mate. March 12, 200917 yr ^^ And eating plenty of short, healthy meals through-out the day. You don't want a crap metabolism if you're working out or there's no point. Although working out does increase your metabolism, you're better off helping it out. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
March 12, 200917 yr 3) What can help me grow taller? Thanks :D 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
March 12, 200917 yr Adrenals post gives the just of it. Of course more detail could be added, but you're 14, your body is still growing. Also, Mmmmc's comment of doing your exercises at a slower rate is right on the money. You want each repetition to last around 12 seconds for better results. Going extremely slow or too fast simply won't cut it. As Goddess said, it is very important to eat healthy meals throughout the day. The better your metabolism, the better the results will be. Get the appropriate vitamins that your body requires each day, get a reasonable amount of sleep, and do not forget to drink water. I don't know much about the issue you're having with wrinkly veins on your thighs, but you mention trimming them down so the best advice I can give is to simply use those legs. Cycling and swimming will have a faster effect on them, but not everyone has a pool or lives where they can cycle in the winter. Don't be afraid to jog, or even walk. Every extra bit will help. Situps will simply work for your stomach, but don't be afraid to expand your stomach workout. As for Borris's comment on the muscles disappearing if you miss a day.. don't worry about this. Also, for my stomach I use a technique where I keep my stomach muscles tight at all times. It started with my mom stressing that I should keep my stomach tight while picking large stones in the field when I was younger. I eventually noticed that by doing this I could get the effects of a stomach workout while doing other things, and it worked out areas of my stomach that other routines would miss. I eventually began doing this so often that I no longer even notice myself doing it. A couple years ago I also started this with my chest, but haven't reached the same result yet. So you know, I don't mean flexing stupidly so you look like you're flexing (teeth clenched, spit drooling from your mouth); I just mean keeping your stomach muscles tight. It really helps to sculpt the parts that routines often miss. I hope this is of some help. I'm having trouble explaining everything in a short paragraph, and don't have time to write a manual. Just check out some websites, ask trainers in your local gym, etc. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
March 12, 200917 yr And just to annoy Adrenal  ... use fish oil capsules! It'll break the fats down in your body faster and gives you the energy you need to be motivated. A natural remedy that helps me is drinking hot water with lemon added to it, it cleanses your body and rids it of toxins. Green tea is good too apparently (haven't tried it). March 12, 200917 yr Note: If you say you have hard abs at fourteen but have a fair amount of fat over it, I don't know why you're asking for advice. Unless of course your "hard abs" really aren't worth mentioning mate. They aren't particularly hard, but I have this. And I worked out and only grew a bit of muscle on my arms. Try a vertical press-up What are you on? Muscle doesn't even disappear in a year*, let alone a day. And I don't know if it's possible to gain enough fat to cover abs in a day... And, and, Christ, there's actually a third thing wrong with your statement. Muscle takes about a day to repair. Skipping a day is good for you. And, in my opinion, doing only sit ups for abs is like doing only push ups for upper body. It can only get you so far before it really becomes worthless and you have to step it up. *If you're past your natural strength it might shrink at a faster rate due to wasted energy being used on the extra weight from the muscles, but apart from that... no. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS. God, why are people asking nerds for weightlifting advice? They aren't particularly hard, but I have this. And I worked out and only grew a bit of muscle on my arms. It looks seriously [bleep] up. My stomach muscles at the beginning of the year were actually so far ahead of the rest of my body that I had to stop working them out for months while I balanced out. Anyways, nice improvements. Whoa, that's scary similar to what I do. I figure that since Canadians only get 5-6 months per year of sunshine, I take fish oil capsules to make up for the vitamine D i'm missing. It also has 2 bonuses - omega-3 eicosanoids (not found in north-American diets) and some vitamin A. Ever since I've been taking them, I feel so much healthier since those were all missing in my diet. Even if you aren't exercising, you should really take fish oil capsules because I guarantee (unless you're vegetarian) that your diet is also lacking. And I also drink a cup of hot water every night. My mom's uncle did that as well and lived.. very long. I <3 water THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS. God, why are people asking nerds for weightlifting advice? It is very strange indeed. I think it's the lack of motivation of the thread starter to just throw out an idea for improving their body and leave it up to a community to work for them. This is why every body building thread here has failed, not a single thread starter actually followed through. I suggest a health sticky, and lock all these cul-de-sacs
March 12, 200917 yr 1) Crunches, working out, exercise. 2) How can I trim down my thighs? Don't worry about that, you are fourteen for god sake. 3) What can help me grow taller? I'm 14. Genetics. Oh wait... Thanks :D Honestly, if you are dead serious with all of this, contact a health professional and a local gym for advice. They would be far better then people that think they have a clue about what they are talking about. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
March 12, 200917 yr God, why are people asking nerds for weightlifting advice? because they all dream and idolize the dream ;) on a serious note, Brent is the biggest nerd I know and knows a lot about weight lifting. I suppose it helps when you had a personal trainer for 2 years and then get sent off to Kapooka  The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

March 12, 200917 yr And just to annoy Adrenal  ... use fish oil capsules! I imagine that Fish-Oil is somewhere in between monkey placenta and jesus tears ? And I also drink a cup of hot water every night. My mom's uncle did that as well and lived.. very long. Yes, do this. Aids in digestion and prevents the build up of toxins in your digestive tract. My grandparents do this. Swimming is very good for the body. I reccomend doing that first, to develop stamina. 30 lengths are good. Of course I don't do that, but I used to take a swim once every week, at least 25 lengths. To develop muscle you also need protein. Lots. And although this may sound unusual, jump up and down on the spot while constantly sucking in and out on your abdomen. You'll feel good afterwards. Don't do chinups constantly, as this can damage your arms. If you really want to get taller, just try hanging for as long as you can, on cross bars in the gym.
March 12, 200917 yr Author Thanks for the advice everyone :) I know I'm too young to be worrying about these things :P lol.. But I like to think about doing things in the long run. Btw, my dad is 5 foot 5 inches and I'm aiming for 6 feet :o
March 12, 200917 yr How tall is your mother? Going on old wives tales, males always grow to be taller than their mothers.
March 12, 200917 yr Author She measures up to just under my chin, and I'm 5' 3' ( 163cm). Oh, and I'm Asian. Not yellow Asian, brown Asian.
