____
Can anyone beat the original Wolfenstein 3d (1992) for first game? God this makes me feel old. Yea, I have a load of side-scrolling arcade on my Win 3.11/DOS box that I still play from time to time and pre-date Wolfenstein 3D by a good couple of years. Mainly Commander Keen, Duke Nukem with the odd assortment of puzzle/strategy games. I have a DOS game (Civil War) with no publish date that I can find anywhere, but it's essentially the PC version of this board game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_War_(game) It's actually not that bad, some fairly good combat math when you look into it closer (factoring in supplies, military for both sides to determine units lots, victor - or perhaps even surrender). Great concept, I tried to remake it for a uni subjet but couldn't get the combat to work correctly... the person whos out-numbered starving army always seemed to kill more than they should...
