Wongtong
Why do I get the feeling that people who say they multi-task so many things, are only doing it to boost their ego? Explain to me how talking about doing more than one action at once can boost ones ego... Am I supposed to feel more satisfied telling people that I can do homework while listening to music as opposed to just telling them I can do my homework?? Care to explain that logic? :?: Neither because multi tasking isn't something that can really boost your ego. Things like looks and personality I would understand as being a boost for your ego.. but multi-tasking? 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! Boris5000
I don't think the term "multitasker" should be applied to teenagers who can't get anything done without distracting themselves and making the task at hand take three times as long as it should. Listening to Rise Against while reading Lord of the Flies does not count as multitasking. Completing expense reports while dealing with clients over the phones does. Either learn to concentrate or stop glorifying your negative qualities. That hurt and hell, suprisingly accurate, double points if you guess which song. doogsidoof
watching [nudity] and [you know what]? :? But yeah, I can multitask. Eating cereal, yoyo-ing, Browsing forums, listening to music, facebooking, Runescape, msning can all easily be done at once, and... doing homework can all be done at once. I havent herd about anyone yoyo-ing for like 7 years, lol OT: ocasionally i play Rock Band while i play runescape or, like others have said, listen to music while doing homework, but that really isnt multi-tasking in my eyes Owner of a Quest cape since 9/11/08It's not about the other people, its about shooting cute furry things that explode. Star.
Oh it's not really multitasking. *Do homework* *pause* *[Other thing] instead of doing homework* *pause* *Do homework* It has to be simultaneous. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

nickeley102
I think computers give people many oppurtunities to practise multitasking. When I am on the computer and I follow a link I instinctively click on another tab so I dont waste 5 precious seconds while the other page loads. This is while I listen to music and am possibly completing an assignment. The new windows operating system (windows 8 or something? Its not released here yet) only allows you to run 3 programs at a time unless you upgrade it somehow, so if you are using media player, firefox and word you cant open adobe or powerpoint, I can see it being very frustrating for people who are used to the status quo. lukabo969
Yeah, I do. While doing long and boring projects I tend to have the tv on, dA or some other site up and 2-3 MSN conversations. Helps me from drifitng off while I do homework. Ranger Boot Count: 1 :lol:Zerkers: 4 Hatchets: 2 Warriors:
doomy
I tried to play a game on ps2 while doing homework once, because it didn't use the shape butons much...Just left me with a whole heap of scribbles which were supposed to be letters. And a lot of dots for when I did need the letter buttons D: Not to mention they hardly pressed... I can't think of anyway I truely multi-task, not just the listen to music and do homework etc... IGoddessI
Yep always multi task but the one thing I can't do is have a conversation with someone while someone else is having a different conversation elsewhere. It confuses me and even with active listening skills I find myself pausing, forgetting what I was saying. I also can't write and talk, it frustrates me. Yet when it's all just activities, I can do many, many things at once. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. EarthySun
I love to multitask too! Right now I'm doing my bio term project on Albinism, browsing this forum for once in a very long time, playing Tetris and listening to Metallica. In my classes at school I also play Pac Man (on my iPod Touch) under my desk, and take notes at the same time. Luckily, I can write without having to look at the paper, and my teacher say the notes out loud. :D So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.
