Today, I got my first (and probably last) Royal Flush.

 

RF of spades on the freaking flop, thank you very much.

 

Best thing is, it was in a heads up against a friend in our school.

 

(we hold these mini tournaments). I like the fact that it was in a real life poker game and not on the computer. Oh good times.

Cool. I've played [cabbage] loads of poker and I can't even recall ever getting a straight flush.

Aw, I should really take up poker so I can go James Bond on everyone's [wagon]. Forget the negative reprocussions, poker is cool. 8-)

Haha, I've had two in Texas Hold 'Em. I've only played one game for money though, and all I did was make back my five dollar buy-in from my dad (I was like seven).

 

 

 

I fancy myself a good Hold 'Em player. I'm really lucky though, I can get a flush or a straight very commonly. I do tend to press my luck, though.

I was dealt a flush once. But never a royal flush, or even a straight flush.

I've only seen that in The Simpsons, the episode where Bart serves as a bartender (hey wait a sec.. BARTender! eh eh...) and Homer visits the club. Fat Tony, Legs and Louie are playing poker with 7 queens, 8 jacks and so on (and if you know what I'm talking about, you also cracked up at the queen of spades, queen of hearts and queen of 'stars' :D )

At our school we were doing a poker tournament. In one hand someone went all in, and if he lost everyone remaining would move onto the next round, three hearts were flopped, he had 2 hearts, i had 2 royal hearts (jack king i think). The next card was the ace.The final card was the last card I needed for a royal flush, and the other guy ended up 1 card away from a straight flush. It was really awesome.

I've played a lot of online poker as a part of an MMORPG but I'm not that good. I've never managed a royal flush before - seen someone else get one though. I'm sure I've had 4 of a kind though 8-)

Can't recall any better than a straight flush. Did win 30 dollars off of a straight once though :thumbsup:

I'm good at poker, I just haven't perfected the rules yet. Otherwise I have a good poker face and all.

Ha, I got a straight flush. Once. About a week ago. The sad part, it was in a school game, with no bets at all... One time in my life I get a flush, and it's wasted.

I've gotten a few straight flushes, but never a royal flush. :

Anyway, i've never been lucky enough to get something like a royal flush but I did manage to get 4 Queens (somehow) and own myself a nice 5$. Otherwise I stick to Blackjack as its easier for me.

I watch poker after dark all the time, but I can't find anyone who wants to play poker (for money).

Ugh, I am absolutely horribly at poker. I can sort of do the math to calculate the chances of drawing the right card in my head, but I am incredibly horrible at maintaining a poker face. Every time the flop, turn, or river gives me the card I need I practically flop out of my chair. I've never played for money because I've never won a poker game besides one of those cute little games on MiniClip. I personally prefer to watch World Poker Tour because I get that same excitement of "woah, that hand's gonna win everything". Also, it gives me a feeling of being omnicient because the TV shows me everyone's hand.

When my dad taught me how to play I got a Royal Flush in hearts in the first 20 hands. :lol: He was flipping out.

I went to a poker (semi-)tournament the last time I was at a casino, bought in with $100 and made $100 :thumbup: .

 

 

 

Last year at high school we held a poker tournament, 200 people bought in. I made it to the final table, fifth place.

Is blackjack the game where you have to get 21?

 

 

 

What's the name of the one where you go around in a circle putting down cards that are the same sign or number but if you put down 2, you pick up 2 and if you put down a black jack, you pick up 5 (yet it can be cancelled with a red jack). Oh, and the 8's make you miss a turn and the queens makes you go the other way round. Someone told me that it was called blackjack and I've been falsely calling it that for years.

 

 

 

Ooh, another game, that one where you are dealt seven cards and you have to match three cards and four cards up. They match either if they are all the same number or if they go up in one, two, three's respectively. We've been calling that one 'Jin' for some reason.
