April 5, 200917 yr over my whole rs career of 6 - 7 years ive only had 6.7M total networth... and for the last year and a half ive been stuck with just a little over 1.2M... I can never seem to make profit with anything i do. I cant merchant anymore because i cant even get enough cash to make it successful. Im slaying atm, but i cant seem to get any good drops and im loosing money at a good rate atm with buying food and equipment to slay. I just cant seem to find a good source of income. Hmmmm help?

April 5, 200917 yr When you are spending money on equipment/food in the hope of good drops, you are playing a "slot machine" of sorts - you are hoping that you will get a payout when in fact, there is a good chance you won't. It is a losing strategy for wealth building. If you want to pile up coin, then work on one of the gathering skills such as fishing, mining or woodcutting. There is no risk involved - you provide "work" and you get paid when you sell your goods. April 5, 200917 yr Mine gold ores or sell bars or raw fish, though whatever it is that you do dont just take that money and go buy something cause in the long run your gonna work just as hard for every item you want to buy. Just spend at least 75% of whatever you make in merchanting and g.e. trading for a couple months and if your smart about it you will get that income in addition to anything you do. If you seriously just can't get around to making a profit with merchanting then try growing your skills real high to mine rune ore and sharks like people were saying, you really won't escape the loophole that is being poor (working, buying 1 item, working even more, buying another) until you find something with really high returns

And an assortment of cheap stuff such as glory, climbers boot etc. It's impossible not to make a profit with slayer if you don't buy stuff you don't necessarily need. And farm herbs!

I looked and farming isn't ranked. So no good herbs to plant that can be profitted on (Ranarrs and Snaps at low levels). But you cna try to raise farming so you cna plant the herbs. April 5, 200917 yr Somehow I don't believe you have played for 6-7 years. I have played for 5-6 years now, and I believe him, since I haven't had more than 12m bank value. Ever. I just loose the 'every drop is sellable' feeling and I always get stuck at 10-12m. It could be the same for him :P
April 5, 200917 yr There are many, many ways to make profit. However, they require a little thing called patience. If you were to grind away at 99 Fishing, I'm quite sure you would have some GP to show for it. But who wants to commit 3 months to a skill - just like that. What you should do is find a skill you're comfortable training which has a regular payout, something you can always rely on for money. Then, find something you enjoy doing which doesn't pay - castle wars, trouble-brewing - whatever it may be. And comine the two, give yourself a day to that skill, make some GP's, bank them and then spend a day slaughtering n00bs in castlewars. This way, you wont become too bored of the skill you're training, and should stack up a nice little cashpile over time. I've personally played for almost 5, and my stats are nowhere near that of a 5 year constant player. :)
