Toki_Hakurei
you cant deny that halo 3 is the best online multiplayer of all-time. No game will ever beat it. It may be a nice game to play with a couple friends online to pass the time, but Halo 3 is overrated beyond belief. This man speaks the truth. Halo 3 is a game where you have to be eight years old to see it as good, not to mention it's not skill-based. Halo 3 is the polar opposite of something called "teamwork". Hahahaha Halo is the most teamwork-based game out right now. And if Halo doesn't take skill then no other game does either. In CoD whoever sees who first gets the kill, in Gears of War whoever has host wins.
Nadril
Console FPS lol. And after watching my roomate play CoD4 competition (on the PC, so modded servers) it certainly does take skill. TF2 takes a lot of skill to master as well. TF2 is one of the best multiplayer FPS experiences though, hands down.
88_click
I agree Halo is the most skilled based online multiplayer there is, CoD4 is fun, but takes much less strategy and skill. Also if ya'll haven't tried it out, i recommend UFC Undisputed it is a awesome [/bads]

justcallmedaddy
No [bleep]ing way does cod take more skill then Halo. The only way a person would think that if they played Social. 50 in MLG takes way more skill to do well then CoD and Tf2
Danqazmlp
To be honest, i think the older PC FPS online games took much more skill. UT 04 comes to mind immediately, but the old Quake games had their moments aswell. Want to be my friend? The PC competitive version of CoD 4 is a lot different than the console version (beyond the controls). And TF2 does take a lot of skill (some classes probably take more than others, but still). I'm not even biased towards cod5. it's crap and unequal - but its all I have. CoD4 still has the same idea, it's not like you need to use 2 people to take down 1 person lol. I dont need a siggy no moar.

I've never played PC CoD- but it can't be too different then X360 version. On Xbox even Gamebattle matches are boring and the same thing. And on The Orange Box on TF2 no one plays so I don't even know what a full match is like.(On Xbox)
PoorLepRecon
For first person shooters I trust DICE to bring a quality Battlefield game to the table. Ever since playing 1942 I have loved all of their games (with the exception of Heroes). My favorite game this console generation though is Dead Space. I just can't get enough of it. They change the way a lot of guns work and such. And I'm talking about TF2 on the PC of course, but why are you trying to say it doesn't take skill if you don't know what the game is like? RayOxide
Even I know that reading how TF2 is, it's based alot on teamwork. Or more than CoD4 and Halo 3... I dont need a siggy no moar.
justcallmedaddy
I was just basing it off of what I played on Xbox. Because of servers that weren't full I quit because I thought it was slow paced. I'll give TF2 credit, but I'll never say CoD takes more skill then Halo, because it doesn't. (You can play Halo: CE on a PC btw.)
RayOxide
I havent played Halo 3 or CoD4, but I'm leaning towards CoD4 taking more skill on average. I mean, CoD4 doesnt have grenade spawns that are campable as hell, massive noobtubing and whatnot. I dont need a siggy no moar.
justcallmedaddy
1. You CAN noobtube in cod4, not halo lol 2. No one camps grenades, and generally campers get raped anyway 3. like i have mentioned before, MLG is like the hardcore of halo, it takes away the bull [cabbage] of it. Yes you can in CoD4, but a single jump in range of a melee attack in Halo and a tube shot downwards kills them, and not you. Yeah but you can still stock up on grenades for cheap kills, whereas in CoD4 you cant and it relies more on shooting skill. Fair enough I dont need a siggy no moar. 88_click
Halo 3 is definitely more shooter skilled than cod4, not bagging on cod4, but you could just run around a corner with a Mp5 and hit a person with a single bullet and they would be killed. Whereas in Halo 3 you need consistent head shots. Also don't even try and tell me sniping is easier in halo 3. [/bads]

On the PC they use something called "Promod" that changes the way the game works, including weapon damage, weapon balancing and such. It's not the same CoD4 as on console, and people don't die in one bullet.
Wisp
If anyone says halo requires more teamwork than team fortress 2, they don't know what they're talking about. I don't think halo takes more skill than cod4 necessarily, because skill is relative. They're different games. In halo you can take a lot of damage and still not die. In cod, it's supposed to be more realistic, so if someone runs around the corner, shoots you three times in the chest, you're dead. The gameplay is completely different, you can't say one takes more skill than the other. Hegemony-Spain
