88_click
If anyone says halo requires more teamwork than team fortress 2, they don't know what they're talking about. I don't think halo takes more skill than cod4 necessarily, because skill is relative. They're different games. In halo you can take a lot of damage and still not die. In cod, it's supposed to be more realistic, so if someone runs around the corner, shoots you three times in the chest, you're dead. The gameplay is completely different, you can't say one takes more skill than the other. i disagree completely! 1.you can easily say different ones have more skill than the other. I have never player team fortress 2, so i have no comment on whether it takes more skill, but sense we are basically comparing cod4 and halo 3. NO doubt in my mind that halo 3 easily takes more skill. [/bads]

justcallmedaddy
And that's why all of MLG poster boys are all Halo players right? And if you're doing a lame [wagon] mod excuse, you can change the game of Halo with custom options. CoD is easy as hell to play by yourself and rape. In Halo you need communication and support. Again, COMPETITION COD4 ON PC is done exclusively through a mod called pro mod. This isn't just a few jerkoffs using it, it's the MLG standard for PC CoD4. You can't compare it to CoD4 competition on the 360 as I've said a hundred times. And this isn't just "custom options" it's a big reworking of the way a lot of things are handled in CoD4. Of course considering you're also talking about just PUG stomping of course it's easy, it's easy in any fps.

Halo to me, is a pick up and play kind of shooter. Most people who aren't on a team and are just getting a random group of misfits never use strategy, and instead go for the regular "kill anything in your way until you beat other team". COD has a lot more skill involved. I get on tons of teams who lay out a strategy during the game. Halo, I'm lucky if people listen to my strategies (and my strategies are proven to work). Nadril
He's mentioning those games because you don't have to find weapons. Also if I remember right (someone please fill me in here) but whenever games like Quake III are played competition players start with the weapons, right? Fighting over "weapon control" doesn't take skill, it just gives and advantage to whatever team can camp the rocket launcher first.
Dizzle229
Best games are anything by Valve. CSS I never really got into, but most people seem to like it. Dracion1
+1 Dizzle :D I just LOVED Portal, and TF2 is always a hoot to play. Garry's Mod good too, but it's not technically by Valve though. My all time favourite though has to be Tetris, I've wasted so many hours on that game on long boring journeys and such, and it's a great time killer. It's such a simple idea and I never get bored of it :P "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." justcallmedaddy
Or time the weapons so you can get the advantage, or if the other team has rockets or sniper, team on them so you can take them back.
nerdboyxxx
Don't like the games you have listed. FEAR is a joke. I never got scared of that game. Alma is just annoying and won't get out of your way. Dead Space is the only game I like in the horror genre, cause it lives up to a lot of expectations. Mutant human zombies in space that can pop out of the vents, and in any room? The quarantined rooms going dark, and hearing them all around you? Biggest rush I've ever had. Call of Duty 5 is epic pwnage. Call of Duty 4 is okay, but they started with the WWII theme, and that's what I prefer.
