atronic92
Up until 8th grade I was deathly afraid of roller coasters. Then I went on an end-of-the-year field trip to an amusement park with my school, where my friends forced me to ride a roller coaster. It was really fun and now I love roller coasters. So, I suggest getting someone to force you to ride one and you might like it! : "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. RichieMcD
You're never going to get anywhere in life running from your problems. That's the only advice I'm going to give, it will make you think instead of lying to your friends.
Laura
You have nothing to prove to them. I agree about facing your fears, but being uncomfortable all day does not make for a fun event. I would choose not to go, left to the comforts of my home.
Everkenezer
You can do one of two things: 1. Suck up your pride and just say "i am afraid of what might happen." (i didnt eat wendy's for 2 years because i had one bad experience.) or a. Ride rollercoaster b. Spew all over the other children d. ???????? c. I told you so. 99 Fishing

fastortoise
I also avoid roller-coasters, but only because i'm paranoid. My family has a history of being around during roller coaster accidents (my mother was pregnant with my brother, and was near the roller coaster at West Ed mall when it killed 3 people and just recently, my brother was on a rollercoaster at LaRonde when it simply did not make it up a bump and slid back down, no crashes thankfully). However, this is just my paranoid mind talking. I love adrenaline rush rides, especially those vertical-drop towers. There's really nothing to be afraid of, and roller coasters aren't scary in the least bit. Again, i'm just paranoid, probably because my mom raised me with her fear of roller-coasters. #-o
xSxqPowerx
You are a wimp and a coward as far as I can tell. Especially if you haven't even tried it.
AlperBacon3
Try it. I love rollar coasters to this day and find the ones that are faster, and higher. But I am terrified of the though of falling out, the coaster breaking, flying vomit, losing limbs, and my safety bars opening. I check them and shake the bars to make sure they are safe to this day (lol). My point: Ride a coaster you will love it, even me as riding all of the biggest I am terrified of them. Thanks to ~Hiimben~ for the Awesome sig!
sohkmj1
Ask yourself this: will riding the rollercoaster (literally) kill you? No? Ride it then.
Qeauxraline
You're more likely to die in the car on the way to the amusement park than you are to die on a roller coaster ride. Zantareous
The only fear I've ever had was of diving into water. Since first grade when I learned that swimming was a required course in high school, I thought every day of how I was inevitably going to have to confront this fear. This year I finally took the required swimming class. I excelled in all swimming strokes hoping that it would make up for my lack of diving, but when I saw that everyone else in my class liked diving so much I realized that I had better follow suit - I felt like I was missing out on something. After practicing only once, I went up to the diving board in front of the whole class and, well there was probably more face-first falling than actual diving, but the fact was that I had actually done it. Over the next two days I practiced and got diving down completely. I ended up passing the class as one of the top swimmers and obtained my swimming license. It feels pretty awesome living without any fears now. To me, fear should be left to things that may or may not happen, to fear the inevitable is quite pointless. Although you could always choose to just not ride any theme rides, stepping around the problem instead of confronting it, I would treat it as something that you have to do in order to experience what everyone else does. In some cases, following everyone else isn't always a bad thing :P
Alg
At worst, you could hang out with any of the other people that don't like them, chances are there'll be someone else. That or try a small one and see if you can work your way up. It'd probably a bad idea to start with the crazy loops-at-100mph rollercoaster if you say you have a weak stomach  I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr

(Skateboarded for 2 years, I prefer to be in control of what I'm doing so it was fun).
PURESMITHER
Rollercoasters are more scary than spinning rides but BELIEVE ME when I say your 100 times more likely to be sick on a spinning ride than a rollercoaster. I have never ever seen anyone throw up during or after a rollercoaster ride. I have seen at least 10 people throw up after spinning rides.
