Because it's not so cliché as cooking, firemaking and fetching. Mining, herblore, farming and summoning are among the most respected capes. Let alone to be the same accomplishment as 99 in RC, slayer etc. Fishing is generally respected, good looks, semi-rare, semi-hard to get, good emote. I like my stats (not fully but i like them) and i don't mind people asking me how i got to where i am.
