For signatures with images there will be a limit for four lines of text or 10 lines of text if you put them inside a hide tag. It doesn't matter how many or how big the images in the signature are - if you have an image then you will only be allowed 4 lines of text (Or 10 if you put them inside of hide tags). For signatures without images the same rules as before apply. To give those of you whose signature is above this new limit there will a grace period until midnight (BST) on Tuesday 30th June (72 hours after this post) to change your signature. I'm assuming you can have 4 outside and 10 inside? No, you can have either 10 lines of text inside hide tags or 4 outside of hide tags if you have images. There are no written rules on numbers of lines with no images however using your common sense to decide if it's too big or not. Although you'd purposely have to go out of your way to make your signature too big with text due to the character limit. Because some people's signatures were getting too big. There was no rule on what was "too big" previously and there were some signatures that were removed while some others weren't and users were complaining about this. You will still be able to keep track of your drops. Just put them in hide tags. As for why: we always removed signatures that were too big or had too much text. What we had a problem with was where to draw the line. My sig has 3 lines of text, but takes up very little space because it's size 75 and 85 (I think) and my sig is only 110px high. Also: The hide tag 'clause' means this 4 lines of text OR up to 10 inside hide tags, right? So if you have more than 4 the rest must be in hid tags? Although if you do use big text then yes that would be taken into account. As for the other half, if you have more than 4 lines of text ALL of it has to be inside of one set of hide tags. Although you have several words, they all fit on one line. What we're focusing on with this rule is LINES of text, so that would be visible text.
