July 3, 200917 yr Summer is finally here and with it comes that dreaded or all curses. The sunburn! Every year it comes back no matter how hard we try to irradicate this pest and it seems like each family seems to have there own personal remedy for it. So why not a brand new thread to debate the merits and demerits of each. My family uses vinegar for alot of things from headaches, beestings and of course sunburns. It seems to work for me and gives me about a half hour of pain relief after taking a bath with two or three cups of vinegar mixed in and a few minutes of relief if I apply directly to the area. I'ved tried alovera and other creams and such meant to help with sunburns and non of them actually work for me. So does anyone els have personal remidies that work and any experiance with other methodes that do not? [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

July 3, 200917 yr Even when I put on sunscreen I still get mildly burnt. However last year I didn't put any on and was on a boat (IM ON A BOAT!) for 3 hours. And of course I get seasick so I had to sit at the very front of the boat the whole time, and I sat cross legged wearing shts in 100+(F) weather, no sunscreen. I couldn't walk without extreme pain on my right knee for 3 days. It hurt like hell every time I went to bend it, so I kept it slightly bent the whole time, and it also had those little yellow bubbles all over the knee (like you see on people burned badly). Yeah, I get hit that badly by sunburns. And tomorrow I'm leaving to Arizona for 110+ degree weather for 4 days. Im gonna go sunscreen crazy and hope I dont get burned. Tumblr. Follow me!

July 3, 200917 yr The scourge of summer is undoubtedly the midge (pronounced mid-gee). Anyone who lives in or has been to Scotland will know what I'm talking about. You might get tiny biting flies where you live, but not like ours. They're unbearable. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

July 3, 200917 yr Well today I was on a boat and random islands with little shade for a few hours, most of my family got sunburnt, but I didn't 'cause I wore sunscreen. And I also got the coolest farmer's tan 8-) Just wear sunscreen everywhere and you'll be safe!

Ever since I learned the potential threat behind sun burns and skin cancer, I made sure I wore sunscreen when I knew I'd be outside all day. 2/4 of my uncles have skin cancer, so I'm definitely prone to it. The only downside to healthy skin is that I cannot peel off layers of it and toss them at my friends anymore

I generally don't go out in the sun all that much, I hadn't tanned in the least for two years until last week because I was in the bahamas, and I hardly tanned at all. SPF 60 FTW.
