Oh god, please, if you try to argue with what I'm saying, don't just consider half of it. I was questioning your intelligence because you couldn't understand what I wrote, while everyone else seems to have done so just fine. Good? And as for credit card fraud, people were stealing credit cards to make members accounts on which to gold farm, and then they traded the money they harvested to other accounts through various methods of trading--that includes DROP TRADING AND KILLING OTHERS FOR THEIR STUFF. They got rid of those too, because if they solely put on a trade limit, other methods of moving around money wouldn't merely disappear.

 

 

 

Now please, before you say anything else, read everything that I have posted in this topic, and read over what you write before clicking submit. If it sounds like it was written by a mentally challenged monkey, either re-write it or scrap it all together.

From what I've noticed most people have gotten used to the trade limit. The only people who seem to still dislike it are either die-hard oldies or players who have quit for a while and just come back. I'm sure its a slap in the face for you. So just a warning, the general mood toward the trade limit is it was necessary.

My friends ofttimes got scammed/had to start over. I would usually give them 100k and just help from there. (they were f2p). Now all I can do is wait 15 minutes to trade 5k again -.-

It doesn't bother me anymore, it really isn't that bad. You can't give things out to starting friends, but at least they can get the full experience. After all, the best time I've had in RuneScape was when I didn't know anything and had to do things inefficiently. Oh the feeling of that pride from my first rune mace.... Ignorance is bliss.

The trade limit affects "drop trades" because there really is no difference between direct (let me give you 100k) trades, and drop (I left 100k here on the ground for you) trades. As far as the opponents stuff is concerned, it again, is no different. "I'll give you 100k" vs "I'll take 100k out of the bank, turn off auto-retaliate, you kill me and get the 100k". The answer isn't that hard to figure out.

The dead horse that is the "What u guise fink bout dat traed limit" must be getting really sick of every 10 year old coming in, digging up its grave, and beating it with its own gravestone.

Trade limit doesn't bother me. It's better this way. Really.

 

It prevents RWT and all that crap that Jagex had problems with.

The only thing that needs to happen is that item floors/caps need to be removed. Other than that I'm fine. It has created "unbuyables" on the GE such as Bucket of Milk, etc.

But really, the unbuyable items are mostly ones that are annoying to gather and don't turn a profit, and somethings just aren't worth paying a hell of a lot more for. Besides, if that happened, do you know how badly merching clans could [cabbage] with an item's price? It would take weeks, if not months for the price to stabilize, economic instability is not worth instantly buying buckets of milk :D .

The trade limits are fine. Their [seemingly] unintentional side-effect was to keep players from drop-trading from their accounts, which was nice in and of itself.

 

 

 

We've all gotten used to them by now, it's been a very long time since they were implemented. They might be a slight inconvenience here and there, but that doesn't mean that they should be abolished outright.

They didn't add it to stop scamming. They added it to stop RWTing.

I don't like the trade limit. Right after they put it in I found a classmate that quit RS and wanted to give me 4m. :(

 

 

 

Aside from that, as Purepure said, I have adjusted. You can work with it.

I love the trade limit.

 

 

 

It stops RWT and I never seem to be bothered by it whenever I need to trade.

The only thing I've found sad from all of this is not being able to host drop parties with friends. I used to do one once a month, and I don't really get the same amount of joy out of the party room. :(

I admit, it was nice being able to get free stuff and see the occasional guy die and swipe all of his gear. But there were those who abused this and used it for evil. Jagex HAD to stop this else they would've been sued/gone bankrupt. Who cares now anyway, it's been 2 years and like this thread topic, player trading died a long time ago and will never be resurrected again.

And now that he cannot get what he wants, he makes a thread complaining about it and flames anyone suggesting otherwise. Heck, the OP himself made the title "What do you think" yet he flames those that shares their opinion which he disagrees on.
