bored321
I've been playing now for almost 5 years. Until the last year and a bit or so i was hooked on it. It lost a lot with the RWT changes (Although it was needed in some way) and the recent (this year) lack of any new major content its made runescape drop to the bottom of my boredom playlist. I'm hoping MS comes out soon to give me something new and refreshing to play like RS did when i first started. Thanks Gradeskip93 for my awesome sig! Suiku
I've been playing 7 years and it's still a game about grinding and poor graphics, so yeah. Veteran Cape Owner (10 year)
HRH_Sir_Cool
Yes its very different from when i first started, i would say Gp is easier to make in some aspects (26k trick ect) but i still play as i enjoy it , as some have said i dont play just to get higher xp ect or do skills just for the total i do the ones i enjoy although saying that i find myself wanting 2000 total so i geuss i would be leveling some skills i dont enjoy as much, but i dont feel as if i have to. It does kinda frustrate me that skills like runecrafting which i once really desired to be 91 in dont excite me as much, i mean..you can make around 6.5k nature runes at 91 rc, thats around 572k an hour, now double that is 1144k Gp every 2 hours if you keep a really good pace runecrafting, now someone without any skills can sit in a hotspot gaining Ep for 2 hours and then spend around 10 minutes doing the 26king, i can almost bet everytime the person makes more than 1144k so that means that rather that spending around 90 hours for me to get 75-91 rc just to make 572k an hour, i could sit in a hotspot and gain Ep and make more than that without any skills or time pre spent to achieve this money, so really 26king is the only thing thats making Runescape unfair in my opinion but ill just keep skilling and hope that Jagex nerf the 26k trick
jimv
Well, I have played runescape for about 3.5 years now minus the year that I quit. I quit in June of 2007 and came back in June of 2008. The problem I see is that runescape has become too easy. It is ridiculously easy at the moment and that does take away from those that want to play the game and earn their levels. For those that want to earn their levels it is impossible to play competitively unless you use all the easy methods. Think of it like a sport, where there are those that want to gain an unfair advantage by using steroids. If the steroid usage becomes rampant then those that don't use the steroids either have to quit or start using the steroids to remain competitive. The best thing that Jagex could do for those that actually enjoy earning their levels is come out with a new version of runescape. Give anyone playing the option of keeping their username, but all scores and quests done are reset to zero. In this new version take out all player to player trading, take out all team mini-games, make npcs to complete the quests that now require two people to complete, limit multi-combat to a player and their familiar only, add enough resources so that they are gatherable without constant fighting over them. The new version would have its own high scores list. Which by the way, free worlders only should have now since Jagex stated that they wanted free worlds to be its own stand alone game. Also in the new version; no clans, no Graahks, split mining into two separate categories (ess mining and ore mining). One and only one account per person in the new version. Set up kingdom warehouses where you could get an 'assignment' of things like potions or fish that the kingdom wanted to buy from you. For the various categories that you need to make or gether much more than you need to play the game. That way the people that actually want to earn their levels could play the game and enjoy it as well. And what they have now could be left to the money worshippers, people that just want to show off their skillcapes and the social butterflies. spooferfish
Untill they nerf the 26-trick, Runescape will never be the same. No, it will still be the same. People will still complain about something like that. 26k trick, or some other new garbage.
Skull
I just play for fun and do whatever I feel like doing, so yeah it's basically the same to me. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
Knotch_Blade
No sense of accomplishment my backside. Who gives a toss what everyone else thinks about you, say you're 99th to 99 Mining gratz. You're 300,00th gratz. You've both got the same thing, so what if the other person started earlier, the other person could've done the same thing you did... If you really care about what others think of you based on on-line achievements... Seraphi
Runescape's community is basically the same as its always been. Its just that some long time players like to look at the past and believe that the community was better than it truly was. I cannot honestly see that big a change, there are still friendly people, and there are still idiots.

Viv
Its still runescape as the game changes we also get older in real life and other priorities and better things come. I played rs for 3 years now i only log in to see whos online....I used to grind skills now i just stand in bank cause i see no point to playing it competitively... Getting all 99s isn't as big or as recognizable as it used to....the quality of the community has gone down....the ways to make money by skilling are overruled by the ways to make money by luck....THE GRAPHICS SUCK SO BADLY... so since around January i haven't played competitively (except for 2 99s) and it feels different to log on rs. But eventually everyone will realize getting achievements in rs is overall wasting their time so unless they really enjoy it ( i know i did for those 2 years i played competitively...) its not worth it to do it for fame. I still think in rs people aren't afraid to chat with you compared to other games....but they are less willing to help people. But your perspective on rs usually goes down as you play...you start - hey cool game, in the middle you get addicted and play to get lots of exp, then you end - what am i doing their are way better things to do. My (way more than 2) cents..
