Yeah, Red and Blue were cool because they were a whole different kind of video game. Go around collecting monsters, training them, trading and battling other players, etc. When you make 50 more games exactly like that, people aren't going to be interested anymore.

Need for Speed 1, 2 and Hot Pursuit were all very solid games. I have very fond memories of playing NFS2 with my younger brother on our PC. :P

I'm probably the only one on Tip.It that things like this, but I think all First Person Shooters are terribly overrated. I've only played a few, but they're all the same - you just shoot people and try not to get shot. They're not dynamic at all. I could just be ignorant, but from what I've played they're all pretty much the same boring thing. Just with different graphics.

Face it, you can generalize any genre -- it doesn't make it true though. Trying to say an entire genre is overrated? Play some Half Life, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Quake, Unreal Tournament, No one Lives forever, STALKER, Crysis, Left4Dead and Team Fortress 2. All vastly different games and different experiences in their own rights. The two closest games I listed to being the same are Quake and UT, but I think they have enough notable differences.

Legend of Zelda is not overrrated by any means, they games are just that good. You might not like the genre, the same way i particaluary dislike FPS, but that doesnt make it bad (i personaly don't like CoD 4 but i admit it's a good game)

Pc Gamer gave this a 92% review (IIRC) and I got bored after the first few levels :(

The console games would definately win game of the year for me but the PC version just had something missing in multiplayer. I think it could be missing out all the aftermath flaming in the lobby between map switches. God that game was fun on the xbox 360.

I might agree if not for the horrid combat and game breaking glitches/oversights (cannot advance in Imperial Legion, character I was supposed to escort got glitched and died long before starting it, and that's just one). Though it did have more/better factions and and an interesting (and longer) main story.
