Well, kinda seems to me like we are all running around in futile, being constricted by the "three superpowers" who demand fairness, even though that fairness works consistently to their advantage, where we have no chance to ever catch up no matter what.

 

Actually the whole fairness thing works against us just as much as it does you guys. We take roughly the same amount of time to develop tech. If we were to not follow a degree of reality then me and Doom could just joint research super-bombs in a year.

 

But it's so idiotic because it is virtually impossible for anyone to ever catch up!

When we get round to planet based play instead of country based, it will be a lot easier to catch up.

 

Especially when, like always, they say, "Oh, you can't have developed such-and-such in whatever amount of time, it's unrealistic." While I agree with that, it's damn stupid to have it based on real world population and GDP. That's not creating a country, that's taking an old world nation and continuing it in a way that would keep it on the same track -.-

 

 

 

And Dusty, you have colony ships, million man armies, 20-25 irl countries worth of land, billions more citizens...

 

 

 

Plenty of people have colony ships - one look at the Mars map will confirm this. Most people have million man armies (Brazil, Britannia, Malaysia, Japan, Aether), 20-25 countries of land I can give you, I don't think anyone else has that many, but most of them are tiny little European countries. I have just over a billion citizens, yes, but so does Japan, Jerusalem, and Brazil.

Newest advancement has been released to the public:

 

These (nano)suits are the result of multiple years of research, and incorpirated nanomachine technology. Rather than being some huge bulky piece of machinery, it is the size of an average man. Useful for special operations specifically, but hopefully soon to be used in the general ground forces. It's features include increased strength, improved protection, increased regeneration (thanks to medgel and nanomachine combinations), and increased speed. If the onboard system detects the death of the user, the machine self-destructs to prevent reverse-engineering. Improved medgel has also been finished and is going into production.

I wouldn't underestimate my army just like that, Dusty. Not that you couldn't steamroll over it in a second, and not that I have any intention of ever fighting you (unless I'm dragged in by this whole NWO business or something), but soon I'll be able to summon an army most likely much larger than that of Malaysia's, though most likely not as advanced either. (just giving an example, no intention of fighting you either grim...)

 

Which reminds me, the last nail in the final hospital in Nepal has been hammered it, so all males between the age of 18 and 40 are to be trained (probably going to take 10 years or so, there's like 6 million people to train...), and all males upon reaching the age of 18 will be conscripted as well, for 16 months)

 

Also constructing naval bases in some of the random islands in the Pacific that I now have.

 

I'm progressing on that automated-turret projected, I'd say 3 years until I get my first models out. We'll see from there.

 

Plans are also being made for using the mountains found throughout my lands as shelter and fortresses in times of defense, though due to all the projects I'm already currently undertaking, construction won't start for a good few years.

 

And my territories (last time I calculated, which was maybe 2 days/years ago) had a total population of about 78 million. Details are on page 199, though if you want to calculate yourself:

 

-Taiwan (I modified the number that the projection gave, simply because with all that I've done I find it somewhat unreasonable that the population would go down, though maybe not up by 7 million if that doesn't seem reasonable either)

Nah, someone said that any 4 NWO countries could take me on toe to toe, so I just included the 4 that had the weakest militaries. It wasn't meant as a "I could invade Taiwan and win", it was meant as "I wouldn't be in any serious trouble in Taiwan attacked me".

The way I see it, to take me down the attackers would have to fit all of these categories:

 

-Have complete control over the sea, so as to transport ships and supplies

 

-Outnumber my military at least 3:1, meaning having 105 million troops attacking (dear lord)

 

-Have complete control of the land that they take, meaning a very slow paced war, or else the supply lines would be constantly attacked

 

 

 

I don't even know if 105m troops would be enough, since a lot of citizens would rush to join the army/become resistance fighters. So more like 200m. The logistics of moving that many men is impossible though, I would think.

 

 

 

That's not to say I'm invincible though. Just extremely hard to knock down.

meh that would take the project to 10 years before I could start producing ships that could go interstellar (the engine makes it go close to lightspeed if I remember corectly) so its just a matter of how does it work and how to make it work longer so I can colonize outside of mars.

2 more ships have arrived on Midgard, bringing the colony's population to roughly 160,000. They have been dissassembled in orbit and their parts sent to the colony to help speed up the development. 2 other ships are complete at Germania's shipyard, and have been sent off to Midgard as well. Battleship is still around 3 more years until it is complete.
