August 7, 200916 yr It is probably more like 1-450 or so. I went 2 tasks without one, (over 350 killed) and I know of people with over 1k kills. August 7, 200916 yr Sadly, you ask the question like every 250 you get one. This is not the case at all. Its like putting 250 marbles in a bag. 249 are black, 1 is white. Your chances of getting that white one is 1/250 very slim. Also with drops in runescape, you put the marble back. Your odds never get better.
August 7, 200916 yr Author I realize the way probability works. What I am wondering is approximately how long 250 kills takes. Its about viability of camping as a money making method. I currently can make about ~700k/hour using other methods. If the drop rate is 1/250 and I can kill 250 every 4.25 hours or about 1 every minute then killing those would be more profitable without even taking into consideration the other drops. Also it gives combat and is more afkable then my other method.

August 7, 200916 yr Hah 1/250. Thats a dream. I've had about 10 Slayer Tasks there. Thats about 1.7k Kills and i only got one. now i realise that i've just got horrible luck there but from my and my friends' ecperience i would say that the drop rate is much closer to 1/350 - 1/450. August 7, 200916 yr Assuming this was a slayer task, I find that I kill aquanites faster with Rune Xbow + Broadbolts over a whip. Aquanites can take their toll on your hp and prayer unless you pray flash and have a reliable method of endurance healing (Guthans, E. Excalibur, Purple sweets, Bunyip, etc). Don't tell more people to camp abyssals, they're already crowded enough as it is :roll: Also, abyssals aren't even that great for money and exp. Seriously.
