What movie(s) did you last see?

Well I saw From Dusk Till Dawn, 2 i think. It was OK, but the thing on my cable said it was the original with Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney but neither of them was in it. It was about a bunch of vampires robbing a bank, pretty cool stuff.

Before that was, The Ringer. I can't begin to tell you how ridiculously bad that movie was. The acting was awful, the humor was cheap and the ending was absolutely unfathomable. Never would happen that way. Ever. Don't see it.

ah, from dusk till dawn 2 was the worst out of the three, you have to see the first one :D

Duck SouP (1927 - Fred Guiol) - Long lost early silent short by the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy. It's quite amusing, but more of historical value of course.

Goodfellas - 1990 - Martin Scorsese) - Good film by Scorsese who got a bit slopy after his two biggest pictures "Taxi Driver" and "Raging Bull". Too bad the second hour is a bit average. 7.5/10

I saw National Treasure and a Sneak Preview in the cinema...still don't know what the name was of the movie :?

Casanova was at the sneak preview this week. If I am correct. The movie is made before in '76 by Fellini. The original from Fellini was horrible IMO, I'm going to see this one tomorrow.

No Casanova was some weeks ago but it was in the cinema not on tv..

But it was a guy who stole 2 mill with a friend from the boss..

It's in a little town and it's Christmas (no snow but rain )

And their were alot of XXX bars if I'm correct and drunk people etc :P

ice harvest? that came out a long time ago here. it was a funny one, john cussack is a pretty good actor

Just saw Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. The plot and graphics was cool. But the acting was just stupid. I mean like, Yoda outdid Kenobi and Anakin in acting for crying out loud. IMDB rated it 8/10. So much for depending on the ratings there I guess.

i dont really see where this whole "horrible" acting comes from, its about just as good as in the original trilogy. now if you didnt like the original trilogy because of the acting, i could understand.

I watched The Gods Must Be Crazy (1985) last weekend.

Good movie :). Haven't seen that in a few years... might have to rent it again or somethin'!

On topic...

Just saw Hostel. I'll probably be repeating what others have said but i'm too lazy to check through this entire thread ;). Must say, it's not for the squeamish but it has no plot and is definitaly not what I expected. I was expecting a somewhat good movie and this just didn't live up to the hype i've heard. Basically, it's softcore porn and gore... that's it. I think it's loosely based on true events, which makes it pretty disturbing in that sense and I guess that's the only reason that it may keep you watching till the end. Otherwise it just didn't do it for me.

In the original trilogy the acting is somewhat spontanious though.

Anyway,

Tarzan (1999 - Disney) - Hm. I didn't really like this Disney animation. The backgrounds were pretty good. But I didn't really like the character design. Also the character voices weren't too amazing IMO. The few songs that were in the movie felt really un-disney and couldn't really bother me either. I wasn't too charmed about it, but for some reason I didn't get really bored or something during the movie. Weird stuff. Small 6 out of 10.

Kronk's New Groove (2005 - Disney) - The sequel to "The Emperor's New Groove". It was okay for a Disney sequel, I guess. It had some nice humor, the voices were nice and I liked the songs as well. I didn't have the feeling I was watching a movie though, the plot was very weak as well. It's good that Kronk looks like Bruce Campbell, so I'm giving this a 6.5/10.

"Volle Maan" that means full moon

disney movies are good sometimes, i watched part of jungle book with my nephew and was enertained. thats an older one though, of course.

Waiting... - i like these sort of stupid funny movies sometimes, and this was one of those times. ryan reynolds was hilarious in the movie, as was everyone else. it did just kind of end, but its a comedy and the story isnt the number one priority. definently makes you laugh. and just to notify everyone who has seen this, everything about working in the resteraunt was exaggerated a ton. dont want to ruin any comedic moments so i wont go into detain. but the game in that movie, its been around in the resteraunt buisness forever. (is he joking? i dont know... muahahaaha)

Mulholland Dr. - wont review this one yet just in case, ill edit it in later if need be.

Liked this 1. Awesome movie. Everything went right, no mistakes! Perfect!

Rocky

Really good film, Stallone was brilliant in it and i thought the music pretty much suited the whole atmosphere. I thought whoever the girl who played Adrienne was really good, and really adapted into the shy girl role. The big fights were very well done and looked very realistic.

No, it's not 'just' an opinion. The Untouchables just isn't a bad film. It could be true that you didn't like it. But it is a good movie, and it was the first film to break out of tradion for Gangster flicks, it gave the genre far more depth, unlike the pretty casual "Goodfellas" by glory-hunter Martin Scorsese (Goodfellas was good, just nothing new), and better than the shallow "Scarface". And yes I know it is made in 87'; I wasn't talking in release date new.

I dont get what ya see in it. Terrible acting if you look the other films of those actors! They acted the dialogue with slowmotion and that scene in that bridge? wtf was that? horses and [cabbage] wtf. And that shooting .. Terrible!

The actors and the acting suited the movie just fine. Costner gave a very nice preformance as a work-hungry fresh policemen with a mission, who during the mission starts to realize you need to change. You can see his changes in his way of work, the way he treats his familie and collegues. Also Sean Connery succeeds very much in his role to be the 'father' of the four and guider of the group. And Charles Martin Smith, the accountant who first experiences the exciment of life and adds a comedy element to the movie.

The reason why it gives the genre so much depth is that this movie finds the perfect combination of the clear "Good vs. Bad" story that is used in many western movies (you can see other western elements in the movie as well, locations for example), with the scene at the bridge as the climax of this movie. Which is also an amazing location choice and change to display the character developtment. First they are strict, they stick to the strict city rules. But later they are on a wide open field, freedom, no rules: just the good and the bad.

And we don't hear you about the amazingly thrilling movie references and shock moments, such as the thrilling scene at Malones house from first person (taken from Halloween), the shocking opening scene taken from Hitchcock's Sabotage and the most obvious reference and perfect tribute t o Eisenstein's revelotionary Potyomkin: The scene at the station.

No: we only hear you about "bad acting". Come with something better than this pap.
