THAT IS A HILARIOUS MOVIE.

I watched that last week (didn't post because I didn't actually see the entire thing). I was seriously laughing almost constantly...I love movie's that don't hold back...I pretty much don't laugh that much at PG-13 or less movies unless they are quite clever...And since this is sort of a gross-out comedy (I'm not easily grossed out at all), I was ROFLing often. When he was chewing the dog doo...Everyone else in the world I've talked too said that was too gross, I was going nuts.

BTW - How was Band Camp? I heard it wasn't very good.

It could've been better. If you were laughing that much in The Wedding, then you'll most likely find Band Camp ok. There's a number of good laughs, but a lot of potential for something better.

Anyhow, the entire concept of the movie is Matt's attempt to show up his brothers 'porn movie' making ability by using hidden camera footage to make his own 'bandies gone wild' movie good enough for Steve to let him into the family business.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - Wat a fun movie! Imagine Mr. Smith, Leonard Shelby and General Zod in good looking dresses, weird wigs, heavy make-up and a diva behaviour. Add some more excentric characters and a pink tourbus to that and you've got a very, very weird dragqueenroadmoviedramacomedie. Very hip. A recomendation for everybody who wants to see Hugo Weaving in a beautiful dress acting like a woman, not a recomendation for homophobes. 7.5/10

The Godfather: Part III - Here's where the magic gets lost. I didn't like it that much at all. Sofia Copolla ruins the movie with her crap acting, Pachino seemed to be lost too. It didn't look good, it didn't have all those interesting characters. I was lucky it wasn't really slow so time went by okay. 6.5/10

Domino - Watched this on Sunday night and i really enjoyed it. The story was fast moving and full of action, plus there's a scene where Kiera Knightly gives a lapdance, need i say more?

I'd recommend it to anyone who liked True Romance, or anyone who likes Mickey Rourke (the man is a legend).

Best line of the film: "Edna honey, you got about 10 minutes to open that god damn safe, or i'm gonna flush your baby boy's arm down this f***ing toilet".

8/10

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

Kill Bill I:

Yeah, shame on me for seeing this movie only just now, for some reason I never found the opportunity to watch it. Anyway, it was a good movie but not as outstanding as Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction IMO. I expected a lot from it so perhaps it's because of that that I'll rate it 8/10, very good but somewhat less than I'd hoped for.

I felt like Tarantino made a mistake by overdoing some scenes, like the one where Uma slaughters the '88'. As if they're a bunch of morons that haven't ever fought with a katana in their lives. Probably those guys have done nothing but fought with it in their lives.

A bit of fun in fighting scenes is cool, like the fight against that freaky girl with the mace, but that just made it kinda boring.

Walk the Line - I'm not really familiar with the life of Cash, so what I say might be wrong. I couldn't do much with this movie. Biopics are getting all the same, thirteen in a dozen, whatever you want to call it. It's brought to you the same way in every movie. Typical Rise and Fall, drugs is bad for you mmkay. And for some reason they all need to take at least 2 hours and a few minutes.

I can't wait till they release Dylan's biopic this year, I wonder which artist they're gonna milk out after that. Neil Young? Frank Zappa? Paul Simon? And the sequel Art with Garfunkel. After that the Blacks will feel neglected and they're gonna release biopics of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and James Brown. When we're this far Bono will be killed by AIDS and we'll have a biopic about Bono. I hope one of the above will be something new.

Phoenix didn't really came over as Cash, Whiterspoon was an okay Carter, and despite the fact that it was nothing new it wasn't really bad either. But I don't see what all the fuss is about. 6.5/10

American History X.

This was an extremely well-done film. What could have been just a film about racism managed to really get you involved emotionally with the characters and in the whole thought process. I haven't seen this powerful of movie in a long time, if ever. It really does get you thinking. I can't even express in words how well it was made to make this happen, as I am normally just an audience to a movie, then I move on.

The story was amazing, everything seemed in place, I loved how it jumped to flashbacks often. Edward Norton is AMAZING in this (see his sinister grin before getting arrested?). It was fittingly brutal, didn't hold much back. (My older bro told me it was disturbing...not particularly, save for the shower scene...yick) Just...everything seemed right.

Really, this is an incredible film, just don't bring the kiddies.

P.S. This week I shall see who is right: Indy500fan or How2PK. That's right! I rented Seven Samurai! (and added another to my "Not at Blockbuster" list: Double Indemnity)

uh-oh, showdown :D

Three Kings - its a pretty good movie, they use interesting effects throughout the movie, like they are just expirementing, and it if it looks good they left it in. its pretty cool, it can be funny at times too. if youve ever seen kelly's heroes, the plot is kind of like that. they never reference it though, in the movie or on the case. thats kind of disapointing. and theres also the good old gulf war controversy in the movie, your political views may not agree. dont let that ruin movies for you though, i dont know how many of my favorites would be ruined by that :D

i could of swore i watched another movie (on tuesday, when i watched this one), but i cant for the life of me think of what it was. i guess im just going crazy

X2 - In other words X-men 2. Pretty good sequel, has got the usual nice Marvel opening scene that we see in most of their movies. A lot of nice characters, not only the trics they can do, but also their relations to one another. Stuffed with action and of course the Dutch Famke Jansen. <3 Halle Berry on the other side was really horrible. :? Another thing I didn't really like was the too obvious Godindoctrination that they smacked in, and the few lines that promoted evolution on the end couldn't help that. Christianity is taking over Hollywood, again. All in all it was pretty nice and you can always make me happy with these type of movies after a hard day of work. 7/10

I just saw Final Destination 3 in theaters yesterday. It was alright. I've never seen all of 1 and never saw 2 at all so I can't really compare it to the other ones. I give it a 7/10

I watched Crimson Tide...it wasn't amazing, but it was alright for a Saturday night...Nothing revolutionary, kind of forgettable, but it did it's job, and I was somewhat entertained. It just seemed a bit too wild, and it was no where near as clever as The Hunt for Red October. I haven't seen Das Boot.

Torn Curtain - Can't really say I liked it a lot. Basically due to the horrible chemistry between Newman and Andrews, there was nothing, it didn't feel natural at all. And Hitch completely fails to deliver suspense where it's needed in a few scenes. It's good that he succeeds in a few others scenes so it doesn't completely loses your interest. There's also some props to to the supporting cast which gave a way better preformance than Newman and Andrews. All in all I'd give it a 6.5.
