Just wanted to give you a BIG thanks for teaching me how to farm.

I piety the fool.

On the topic of herb farming, I made a calc to reflect the typical best herbs since I can't manage to find one that someone gave me in the past. Someone check it over? First spreadsheet:

Landadyme prices are a bit messed up on your spreadsheet, that or I could make all the money I'll ever need from a few herb runs with Lant seeds.

I am trying to find that in a guide or sumwere. Do u no were it says that limpz help herbs?

  • Author

Oh, limps do NOT protect herbs, just allotments (like cabbages, potatoes, etc.). It's probably somewhere in the Tip.It Farming Guide.

Withdraw 11 airs and 5 laws, and my farm tools + 15 pineapples, take out compost and refill it, do the 1st patch, get the rest of items, do catherby patch, elf tele, fally tele, home tele, dueling to brimmy, duel to gnome 1 and other 2, get normal logs, go to taverly, tele to ardy farm, tele to fally farm, tele to mort farm, tele to varrock and do last patch

I think you've confused Limpwurt Roots with other flowers. It's only marigolds, rosemary, scarecrows, nasturtiums, and white lilies that protect allotments. (Potatoes/onions/tomatoes, cabbages, sweetcorn, watermelons, and all allotments, respectively.) Limpwurt roots just give you limpwurt roots when you harvest them.

  • Author

Mm, that so?

Alright then, limps are an exception then.

That's a decent route. Idk why it's taking you so long.

I just noticed your "1. Farming In-Depth" section.

The bottom part of it is ALL bold. I suppose you only wanted to bold one word, but mistakenly typed the wrong thing?

Other than that, nice guide. Sadly, I'm F2P and cannot make suggestions lol.

No mention of the Scroll of Life yet. I'd imagine it would be a no brainer d-ing reward for any serious farmer.

However, I'm not sure now whether or not to cut down trees yourself. The recent update makes regular trees that you cut down yourself also give a chance of giving seeds. So it's either an expected return of about 12.5k per seed for magics or instant patch clearing.

Mentioned it briefly on herb runs. I've yet to see a conclusive report to put in this as solid info.

I'm planning on going d-ing again and getting 10k tokens for the scroll. Once I do I'll just make note of all my runs, both herb and tree.

Ive been using Scroll of life for around 200 herb seeds now and even thou the knowledge base says you can get random herb seeds back - That has only happened ONCE, which was a ranarr.

And also i have recived ZERO limpwurt seeds back.

I've noticed the same pattern, although with more "randomness" with may just attribute to me farming more than 200 herb seeds.

From the RS KB:

NOTE - If you harvest dead herbs, the herb seed you have a chance of receiving will be random. Sometimes, you may receive a torstol seed after harvesting a guam, for example. This only applies to dead herbs: live herbs will offer you a seed that is identical to the ones you originally planted in the patch.

So you should be getting back your seeds if they survive, but only random if they're dead.

This is actually sorta interesting. Someone at very low farming could grow dirt cheap guam seeds without compost or anything and hoping they die. Then there's a small chance that they get a torstol XD
