Raves

Does anybody here go to them?

I'm planning on going to HARD Haunted Mansion on Halloween with a few of my brosephs, I was wondering what to expect as this will be my first rave.

Either that or Monster Massive.

Someone tell me what to expect.

Anyway, share your rave experiences.

I don't think anyone could use the word broseph in a serious manor. I've never been to a rave, they really aren't my thing and they really aren't many around anyways. I have a couple of friends who go to them and from what I hear from them is that they are a lot of fun but they also drop E when they go too.. Which I am not promoting anyone here to do.

I went to a rave this summer, it was pretty fun, ended up rolling and having a great time, everyone was friendly and the music was great. Just have fun and dance your butt off! Also, make sure that you drink plenty of water, I was pretty dehydrated throughout the night and water became my best friend.

I've been to a couple of Asian raves. I was at this fayre in Bradistan and suddenly the artists on stage started playing hardcore rave music. It got crazy.

There was some people doing that crappy chav thing with their fingers and I laughed heartedly.

Well, in band we have a locker room.

In this locker room we can run an extension cord through a hole in the wall, and shut off the lights.

Now with this odd assortment of band kids, an extension cord, a strobe light, and amp, and an iPod with a [cabbage]-ton of techno, we have locker room raves quite frequently (almost every lunch).

Well, "straightedge" raves (no drugs or drinking of any sort).

I've been to two raves, both were very fun (though the temperature was over 9000 degrees  )

The music was crazy, strobe lights were flashing, and the fog machine was doing its thing :P

But yeah, raves are awesome in my opinion.

It's really awesome.

Mainly because band kids at my school are [bleep]ing insane.

There's usually a few not too far from where i stay during the summertime. People out in a field or in a big barn type thing, strobes and very loud music.

Went to one, but it was more of an outdoor party than a rave. Good nontheless.

During our "Spirit Day" which is basically just a free day at school where we can do whatever, some guys set up a bunch of subs and speakers with a computer and turntable in a stairwell that dead ended in the basement. So they had this whole little area with strobe lights and pumping base going off all day. People would walk by and peek over the stairs down at them flailing around. A teacher had to watch over the dancing in case it got too rough. The look on his face was priceless: Kind of like a facepalm without actually facepalming...

That's the closest thing to a rave that I've been to.

Mmmm, Monster Massive is humongous. Last year 60,000 tickets were sold. I'm betting thousands more people are going to be there this year, too.

Not all raves are outside in fields and such, the ones I mentioned are both inside gigantic stadiums. LA Sports Arena and Shrine Expo hall, both big venues.
