This isn't exactly what most of you probably got the first impression of, but it is similar. I don't want the blow by blow history of every clan that's existed and who they had beef with. I want to learn about clanning as a whole, and maybe history of some top 10 clans and even your clan included. Significant events like major alliances, dates of Wilderness leaving, and the day PK Worlds released, Anything that significantly effected te clan world I want to see people post, I heard there was a DF+VR Alliance in like 04? Confirm? Explain? Why did it fail

Hmm... Unless it was a clan created by General Shop + Viper + Tyler then it wont have been VR because they were created in 06 or maybe even 07, VR is unique as it is the only clan created by that lot that has existed for any length of time. I think you mean the DF + Corruption alliance, I think DF split from the alliance for some reason and that led to their big rivalry which lasted so long. I didn't think DF were around in 04 though... Maybe they were and just weren't so big, as far as I know the war they announced themselves was in the early to mid 06 where they beat BK in an official war.

 

Incidentally, aswell as VR, EH was also created in 06. Was kind of the last year that any top 5 clans were created although TR were created in 07 and Shadow Elves only joined the very top clans in 07 although they were around a long time before that.

 

I can tell you that in the Summer of 05 BK split from the alliance ('THE' Clan, Gladiatorz, Clan Jaguar, The Blacknights clan and a bit later The Mighty Red Dragons), In August 05 BK had the biggest miniwar between single clans in RS history (210 v 240 or something I think, BK won)

 

CJ's Tourney took place in 06, I don't know if it was the first time or not but it had the interest of alot of clans and BK won the 30 v 30 section and was pretty much dominant in matched option fights but I don't know how useful that is :oops:

 

The Dynasty died the last time in late 06/early 07, The Mighty Red Dragons turned into a community only clan in late 07/early 08, The Dark Slayers died in 07/08, Swords of Glory (a major Portuguese/Brazilian country clan) died in 08 I think. Time has flown by and I only know things from 06 onwards really so yeah, that's about all I can think of, I can't be bothered to look up war results but ofcourse some big wars, BK v Gladz (05), DI v DS (06), 'THE' v DS (06/07), Gladz v DS (06/07), there were some overly long run ins between DF v DI and DF v Corr, also EH had some too, I think they were the first clan to go over 12 hours.

 

Oh also RS wasn't created in 2000, I guess you could put the rivalry between The Sabres and 'THE' Clan there to signify that it happened in Cyber Wars before RS was created. The order of the first clans that are still around is The Sabres, 'the' clan, The Blacknights, Gladiatorz, Jagz if you want to put that in but it's always a controversial topic. That would go in 2001 and you could put other clans like The Wanderers there too although i can't remember all the clans from back then that are still alive and it's unlikely anyone would remember the order of the dead clans as there were quite a few of them.

Sometime in 2002: PKM was born.

I'm honestly not very familiar with the history, but different clan leaders should be very helpful to you. I know BK has a very in depth history on their forums, written monthly, and I'm sure many other clans do as well.

It's going to be an extremely difficult task. Your history would have to be unbiased (nearly impossible) and considering you thought VR were around in 2004 (they were formed in Aug-Sept 2006), I honestly think it's going to be a project that's too tough to tackle.

 

Many people have tried over the years and even if they witnessed the events themselves, it's impossible to make an unbiased judgement on the entire clan world's history.

This. GL Ralph but I don't see you getting too far, if you were there back in the day maybe but even then your bias would kick in without you even realizing it.

I've been clanning for a short 2 years-ish, and really only 1 year in real clans. Hence why I'm posting this, again not as a complete history of every clan and everything, I just want to know when things happened Also about VR and DF, it was ONE OF GLADIATORZ MEMBERS WHO TOLD ME THAT. Thanks.

08 September 2009 Team Baby Jesus goes to world 141. The reign of terror from their 12 opts scared the clan world. They smashed lvl 50s left and right while their oponents had no warring experience or food. TBJ had a rocky start, but after loosing a few matches they quickly restocked on better food and gained maybe a few more opts. From there they never looked back. They didn't rely on mass recruiting such as, B A A A M, Klourn. Xc2dafailboat, Redskull, and Ray0608. This shocked the hole clan world. They realized that w141 became srs buisness. When realizing this, world 141 grew dead for the next weeks to come. (Some say months!) This created a negative impact on the w141 clan world. Divine Vindicators struggled to gain recruits as everyone feared that they'd one day have to war TBJ in a matched opts. (Meaning they would have to spend a long time dropping 50 people just to loose.)

 

After time people realized TBJ was a quiet team that didn't really do much...ever. So the world 141 clans were happy to return and activity picked up time to time. But after seeing how srs TBJ were in w141...some things have never changed.

You might need to go back to 1999 with your year list. Both 'The' Clan and The Sabres started in a pre-RS Game called Cyberwars (also by Jagex) transfering over when RS was created. We will be celebrating our 10th birthday in December.
