Why would they need a speciality? They have a fleet to transport between their colonies and air craft for the same purpose. Their army is mainly for show, but they are just as deadly as anyone else's.

I have 65 million people. I assume you have like 80 million.

I started with 50 million because my growth rate is higher, so I started lower. :)

I don't think they had oil-platforms. If they did, you'd have to research it, as the use of petrol power needs researching. To Archi, we should go with a set time to research tech, not a man-hour system.

The French beat up most of the people in Europe and nearly conquered Russia. The Brits later discovered the Vikings in North America, and they beat them up. The Vikings are now forced in hiding in the arctic isles and Greenland.

Just because a nation has massive amounts of people doesn't mean it'll research faster. Basically what I'm saying is, nations normally don't have to sacrifice production of industrial goods for technology, and your method allows the research of technologies in a comparitively shorter amount of time.

 

We'll have the problem of satellites by 1950.

Okay Retech, lets complicate things and do both at once. You need to divide the amount of man-hours it takes with the time it takes.
