Harder than Nomad?

A lot of talk is about Nomad's difficulty? That's another topic for another thread. I have another point to make. People take Nomad as example of monsters that will be even harder to do in the future. Again, that may be true.

This is to clear up something I wanted people to take note of.

"Bilrach is of Average power."

Many people think that Bilrach is Nomad. Now the discussion is that if Bilrach is of "normal power" imagine how hard Lucien is going to be. Why do you assume that? Clearly one of the story points, technically it may have been the only point in the thin plot, is that Nomad was powering himself up. People speculate he was doing it to chalenge Lucien. Well, if this is the case, Nomad/Bilrach wouldn't have been of "average power" anymore. He would've been a great deal stronger. Perhaps Lucien isn't as tough as him?

why exactly do people think Nomad = Bilrach btw?

From Zemouregal's notes it looks like he served Zemouregal to some extent.

The dark warriors that pursued Nomad would seem to indicate that Nomad formerly worked for Lucien

Mostly cause of his graphical update, The CE talking about him, etc. Oh, and because people think Koschei is Kharshai and the Strange Old Man is Sliske, that would make Bilrach the only Mahjarrat not in the game and people think that Bilrach is in the game somewhere, so it's that.

Oh and Lucien may or may not have formed an alliance with Zamouregal, so the hierarchy level is Bilrach/Nomad < Zamouregal < Lucien.

Ok.. but Lucien holds the Stone of Jas AND the Armadyl Staff. Wouldn't he be *extremely* powerful now? Like 10 x Nomad? :S

Perhaps. It's difficult to tell. I mean Nomad was devouring souls. That seems like a pretty food power source. In any case, I don't think we'll see anybody as hard as Nomad in a while. At least not this year.

Koschei the Deathless? The fremmenik guy? Why would he be a Mahjarrat?

Nevermind, researched a bit, it makes sence now.

I think people take comfort in the idea that all the Mahjarrat are in the game in some form or another at this time. And knowing Jagex, that isn't that unlikely.

I wonder if Lucien and Zaros will form an alliance. After all, they are both after Zamorak's hide.

Anyways, I think we will eventually have to fight a god.

I don't think Lucien is after Zamorak. If anything I imagine he'd like to stab Saradomin or Guthix with the ole Staff of Armadyl.

Don't forget that most Mahjarrat are kindof treacherous.

I think that Nomad is probably VERY weak compared to Lucien. Lucien does have the staff of armdyll and Stone of Jas so basically he has god power. Nomad is strong and all but i believe that Lucien could CRUSH him in one second. Didn't he one hit most of the adventurers in WGS? Or was that his skeleton friends, which didn't seem to take up much effort to summon. Either way lucien is beyond strong. Nomad doesn't touch Lucien's strength. Zemourgal's power is yet to be confirmed though. But his influence over the other Mahjarrat is strong, so he must be at least a little strong.

Who i want to knows power is Azzaranda (or whoever you spell the guy from DT's name). We know that he is insanely strong because it took Zamorak and Saradomin's forces to bring him down *i think*. I just wonder how Lucien and Zemourgal match up against that. Nomad i think still wouldn't stand a chance.

If that's the case, I don't think we'll directly contront Lucien.

Oh, and that battle in thw ild took place *before* Lucien even got the Stone of Jas so he's even more powerful.

I don't think Nomad was even terribly strong, I mean he feeds off souls, but nobodys playing Soul wars to generate 'em.

/Sarcasm

Anyhoo, I think we'll proably be getting some form of back-up (E.G Kuradal, Zaro's, and such Ilk) next time we face Lucien.

(Also isn't Lucien Zemourgal's cousin, I thought he said something about being "Nicer" to him or something, but y'know, could just be trivial.)

When I read Zemouregal's notes, I got the impression that Zemouregal wasn't scared of Lucien at all. I don't know if that's out of ignorance or not, but it may also imply that Zemouregal is extremely powerful himself. I think there's definitely a possibility that Bilrach is Nomad, and it would seem to me that Bilrach has since risen above average power for his kind.

What exactly are Zemouregal's notes? Do you access them during a quest?

You get them from the curse of Arrav. They're notes on every mahjarrat.

I think we will eventually kill/banish Lucien after weakening him somehow- probably by taking his artifacts away.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

It would make sense to me, as he got a graphical update and he was very strong during the quest, maybe he was planning something to take down Lucien, but since you ruined his plan, he told the adventurer that he had doomed the world. Also he didn't even die, so that means he is very strong after all.

I think that he has a connection to the Mahjarrats, maybe he is one, maybe he is close to one...who knows?

Mahjarrat aren't known to serve other Mahjarrat; I don't think that Nomad was one

How about Zamorak and his Mahjarrat followers? Sure he became a god, but he is a Mahjarrat. Maybe Zamoreugal is powerful enough that some of the average/weaker Mahjarrat cling to him for safety. In Zamoreugal's notes, he implied that many Mahjarrat seek alliances with other Mahjarrat in order to protect them from the Ritual. The ones that tend to not have any allies usually are the ones that are sacrificed.

Remember, first time we fouchg Lucien, many of us took him out with one kick to his skeletal nuts.

Nomad was a very experienced combatant with a power boost.

Lucien is a noob with a power boost... and something that boosts your stats to the pain though shortterm contact, and gives you power over the world itself with longterm.

But many of use will still face him unarmed for the lulz.

Yea, the first time we fought Lucien he was terrible. But the most recent time he could easily kill 2-3 level 197s at a time instantly. Lucien will be harder than Nomad, it's only a matter of time. But I don't think a tougher fight will be released this year.

You may be right, but I really hope you're wrong. Nomad sets a new precedent for future bosses and quest monsters. I'd really love to see what comes out next.
