January 14, 201016 yr Remember, first time we fouchg Lucien, many of us took him out with one kick to his skeletal nuts. Nomad was a very experienced combatant with a power boost. Lucien is a noob with a power boost... and something that boosts your stats to the pain though shortterm contact, and gives you power over the world itself with longterm. But many of use will still face him unarmed for the lulz. Yea, the first time we fought Lucien he was terrible. But the most recent time he could easily kill 2-3 level 197s at a time instantly. Lucien will be harder than Nomad, it's only a matter of time. But I don't think a tougher fight will be released this year.He shall stab the staff through the stone, and wield the mace of jasYou may be right, but I really hope you're wrong. Nomad sets a new precedent for future bosses and quest monsters. I'd really love to see what comes out next.
January 14, 201016 yr It would be so cool if we could use the Armadyl Staff. That would be one quest that I wouldn't complete if it meant that I had to return it. Anyway, off-topic, but did Jagex ever update the look of the Staff of Armadyl from the Temple of Ikov quest? It looked like a boring old lava staff then. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
January 14, 201016 yr Mahjarrat aren't known to serve other Mahjarrat; I don't think that Nomad was one How about Zamorak and his Mahjarrat followers? Sure he became a god, but he is a Mahjarrat. Maybe Zamoreugal is powerful enough that some of the average/weaker Mahjarrat cling to him for safety. In Zamoreugal's notes, he implied that many Mahjarrat seek alliances with other Mahjarrat in order to protect them from the Ritual. The ones that tend to not have any allies usually are the ones that are sacrificed. It's beginning to sound like a reality show... ROFL....
January 14, 201016 yr Why do you guys care so much about stupid quest storylines? God. To be on topic, of course Lucien will be harder than Nomad. Quest monsters always get harder. January 14, 201016 yr Why do you guys care so much about stupid quest storylines? God. Because they are interesting and to many, they are the best part of the game.I could say why do people care so much about stupid PvP Worlds and Bounty Hunter but I accept that people like different things. I think if we ever fight Lucien, we might be powered by a powerfull artifact, but the battle will still be hard.If you remember in the chosen commander, we were in control of Zanik for a bit of the quest, maybe we will be able to control a mahjarrat for a future quest? ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::.........
January 14, 201016 yr We care because the plot is very interesting! I think it's funny how Jagex doesnt seem to know exactly how strong a mahjarrat should be. Khazard was a pushover when i saw lucin die in temple of ikov, he just got hit for a 1 and baddly pretended he was beaten. no ofence but i thought it would be obvoius that he was a bajillion times stronger then that, just acting weak. khazard is a mahjarrat? he does not strike me as one, being undead, more human shaped then mahjarrat, and has no wings. well if he is then how strong would an undead mahjarrat be? besides, maybe mahjarrat dont HAVE to be strong, just most of them (or more likely, only a few that are noted for there strength) are strong? I'm a Brony and proud of it!

Lucien gets killed super easily in Temple of Ikov, and Gen. Khazard was a pushover As the above poster said, I think Lucien was just toying with us. In Zemouregal's notes, he mentions that Khazard is the youngest Mahjarrat on Gielinor, which, to me, implies that he's a lot weaker than the others, with maybe the exception of Jhallan. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Lucien was at his weakest at that point, I can only speculate that he transformed himself into a more humanoid appearance and that resulted in him eating up a good chunk of power (Jhallan mentioned it consumed energy), there has been pieces of lore which have stated him to be very powerful, perhaps not physically strong, attempts to hold a sword are meant to be feeble, but definitely not someone to be underestimated, and now it's plainly obvious not to underestimate him now that he has the staff of Armadyl and the Stone of Jas! And as Morningrise has said, Khazard is the youngest Mahjarrat, I can't remember if there's something about him being born on Gielinor, if that is the case then that means he hasn't seen as much battle and conflict as the others and wouldn't be trained up to the same level as them.
January 14, 201016 yr khazard is a mahjarrat? he does not strike me as one, being undead, more human shaped then mahjarrat, and has no wings. well if he is then how strong would an undead mahjarrat be?Erm... WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? It's particularly obvious that Khazzard is in skeletal form, all mahjarrat are even more human shaped, and absolutely none have wings, and the entire concept of undead doesn't apply to their race at all. Not to mention Khazzard is the single most talked about Mahjarrat in the game.
January 14, 201016 yr Author Khzard was born on Gielinor and I believe is the only one to have done so. His mother was killed in battle. He was created after Zamorak banished Zaros. It was never revealed who his father was, but if I had to guess I'd say Hazeel due to it being mentioned that he took him under his "wing", not literal, and taught him. As Hazeel was said to be like a brother to Zamorak, that would explain why Khazard may be a Zamorak following Mahjarrat. Whether Khazard or Jhallan is weakest I don't know, but what we do know is that Jhallan is cowardly which to a Mahjarrat is a huge weakness. January 14, 201016 yr The ability to kill higher beings tends to lead to a bad path, quality-wise, in any form of entertainment. Hopefully Jagex can avoid taking it too far.
January 14, 201016 yr Lucien is going to have 5000 HP and hit for 105 Damage every 6 seconds while he has a level of 999 and will be hit roughly once / ten attacks. Additionally, Jagex will make an update that unless you bring "shiny Barrows" that can only be constructed in your POH with level 99 construction, you can't enter his room. Additionally, Lucien will need to be poisoned with SUPERAMGWAESOM poison, untradeable and can only be made with 99 herblore. And he'll fly, with Chuck Norris clasped firmly in his talons. That'll show 'em.

January 14, 201016 yr Its not the size of the shotgun, it is the motion of the Ocean (which in runescapes case is static and completely flat..) Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum

January 14, 201016 yr Nomad is very strong but I dont think that improves the quality of the quest in any way.Well.. maybe slightly. My 1 - 99 Mining GuideHunting Guide 1 - 99Fletching Guide 1 - 99
January 14, 201016 yr id compare it to 2 commander zilyanas straight up solo, this means no running just straight up attacking and getting attacked back, however 255 hp is low compared to 1300( 1000 + his heal) so id say 2 back to back would be more accurate

Lucien gets killed super easily in Temple of Ikov, and Gen. Khazard was a pushover I thought during the Temple of Ikov quest, they said something about that Lucien was sealed/weakened, and returned back to Gielinor and wanted to claim the Staff of Armadyl, which would most likely explain why he was weak during then. Unless of course; however, my memory is just a bit off.
