The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

I know that, but a 100% defense vs. all airborne attacks is OP, so regardless, some will get through.

It's not 100% defence, they are still getting inside... my computers.

Australia launches a secret 100 ton nuke through cyberspace and it exits directly through a screen in the middle of Scandinavia.

[bleep] that noise.

Also, Dungeon, would need to be a different game IMO. Hegemony will always be hegemony.

2Xeo5.png

That's what I meant.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Ross, no other nation knows how to turn mass into information and back.

I don't entirely care. Hegemony is pretty much over already.

Wrong, the Uber nation I just invented does, I am going to proxy the UFP(United Federation of Planets)

Anyway Japan got RFGed...its never coming back, so can we drop it and focus on keeping people alive...if at all?

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Archi, if those are on other planets then they'll never find Earth, remember the rule? Even though we through science find out aliens must exist, we'll never meet them.

Meh, you don't follow the rules, so if someone doesn't follow the rules then the moderators can ignore the rules to overpower the idiot user....Mass to Energy would take an insane amount of power...something with Scandinavians 40,000 odd people are not capable of producing.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Guess what, you are the only one clinging to your mortality rate, all of us others have folowed Doom's.

That means I'm at least 33,600,000, and I sent the project to Sere at the begining, you can't overrule him.

Errr...Yes I can, Sere has said that if your technology was overpowered(Specifically your technology), to stop you using it until he returned.

Also I honestly don't care what everyone says, the game is not group moderation, its Sere, then me...Anthrax weapons were over powered, we said that, no one paid any notice. We said this is what was going to happen, no one paid any notice...We are not going to go back on it merely because now that it has happened you found out that maybe you should have listened instead of ignoring us...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Please quote somewhere I said I was totally ok with Anthrax weapons and that I would like to see them in use?

Just because we're not saying "Woot go mods!" and rubbing your egos 24/7 doesn't mean you can "prove a point" which is gamebreaking.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Nope, that was Ross and Rocco.

Anyways wether the anthrax weapons happened or not depends on us, there's two (me and Sere) who have voted number three, that it never happened. And so far we are leading.

Dungeon, I don't expect you like me...I am the guy who comes along and tells you why things can't be done.

However, for the intents and purposes of this game, I am reality.

Sere is the one that deals with the game element, I just state the realism of the game, as I understand it...If I am proved wrong then fine, reality is whatever the most accurate representation of events are, but that is generally my version of events, as agreed by Sere, who is the Mod Absolute, since this is his thread and his game and no one else's.

In any case I am not asking whether or not you like Anthrax Weapons, I am stating that we warned you what was going to happen...If Retech decided to launch his weapons after we expressly told him it would wreak havok across the planet, then that is his informed decision. If you choose to do nothing to stop Retech having Anthrax Weapons, then that is your decision.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Okay, I have a few options:

1) Since the attack wasn't legitimate, the attack never happened. We already did determine that the attack was ordered, but no one was willing to carry it out. Thus, it never happened, and the public found out about it. Likewise, the UN confiscated Japan's illegitimate weapons already.

2) We can play in a post-apocalyptic world where there's less than a billion people worldwide, which is something I wouldn't mind, but it would mean that Brazil and the nations of North America will become world powers...

3) We can just totally ignore everything since that's what happened when the Dollar crashed (both times), which is far more reasonable than, say, Japan getting hot-headed and destroying the world with anthrax.

I'll let everyone decide that (which I think is option 3), but I'm leaning toward Option 3.

Mather, Sere has asked for people to voice their opinions, not vote. This is not the first to 4 votes...this is 'How do people feel about these things', because Sere wants to make sure the game in enjoyable for everyone, and thus is being responsible.

So I'm supposed to suicide my entire army onto Japan?

Be crippled, or be crippled.

That's moderation for you.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Thats reality for you...

What do you want me to do exactly? 'Sorry, you can't invade Indonesia or attack Japan in anyway because it will cause Retech to launch bioweapons...'

'Sorry, Retech, you can't build bioweapons because they are powerful...You can't have a large army either...yes I know that three people are invading you, but it would be overpowered if 1 person could defend themselves against 3 people.'

Reality doesn't care if something is fair or not, it merely is. If you want to argue about it talk to Sere.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Fact is, I didn't sign up to this game to be forced out on the basis of "well if someone wanted to build anthrax bombs in real life they could so we should apply it to the game".

It was about having fun as a small, bonded community. Apparently you disagree with that.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Well Russia most likely would of heard (as well as the whole world) about the bombings, we would of closed the airports ASAP, leading to a few people into my country actually infected, as I don't think trade between the countries that were attacked and Russia. Quarantine a couple of cities, crippling my gdp for a few years, but disallows any spread.

My genetics, that were mainly into curing ailments and such would of most likely found a way to stop the spread before it even happened, as we were looking into the major ones, and anthrax is pretty damn major. If we didn't find a cure, it'd took a few years, sent hazmats in that would of taken a few years clean up. Anthrax gone ,cities back, population hurt quite bad, but still stable.

Also if we were going for pure reality, what about wind? Anthrax would travel all around the world making Brazil and America infected.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Meh. I am here to do a job, a job Sere asked me to do because he felt the game was completely uncontrolled without a moderator, and numerous people agreed.

I want the game to be fun, but Retech wanted to win...so either I get to enjoy myself or I to do the job I am supposed to do...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I agree with Dungeonal, the only reason I even care to research military stuff is because some *looks at Ross and Rocco* absolutly think that their enemy's allies must be their enemies, all I've ever tried to do is to make sure I have allies.

Ico, the whole point of me explaining that no one knew the bombings were anthrax, except Japan, is to indicate that no one would have closed their borders.

Anyway, actual research suggests that it would take six months to a year to fine a cure for a specific strain of Anthrax, from zero hour.

About the wind...I imagined, in the lack of any definative proof either way, that a sea voyage for a day or so, potentially more, would have killed the bacteria, especially given the low temperatures...as well as it being sporal, and thus probably landing in the ocean and getting destroyed subsquently by the salt content.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
