You know there are things called reduced trade costs, shared technology and cooperative actions.

reduced trade costs,

Yes, the difference those trade deals made...

shared technology

The fanciful and unrealistic Salt Power(cunning named to prevent people researching what it actually is...Osmotic Power) capable of producing 25 TWh/year...No...Wait, Salt Power is estimated to produce 25 MWh/year by 2015... But does that stop you? NO, of course not. You just announce 'Salt Power produces lots of power, do you want a generator or five?'...You even tried to sell them to Switzerland, a nation which has no naturally occuring salt water basins...It just underlines a total failure to even attempt realism. Its just symptomic of what is wrong with Hegemony, people going off with half baked idea, not telling anyone about them or not posting any sort of weblink to check the technology out for ourselves...

Otherwise it has only been military research, which pretty much goes against your point.

and cooperative actions.

Like building underwater cities out of plywood...or spacecraft out of 2 by 4.

A total lack of realism, compounded by large numbers and the assumtion that if two or more nations work on something it is done faster, cheaper and without any complication.

the only reason I even care to research military stuff is because some *looks at Ross and Rocco* absolutly think that their enemy's allies must be their enemies,

Such a non-statement...it would be like going into Wall Street and saying 'The Only reason I buy Shares is because Russians wear Coats when its Cold.'...IE, The only reason I am doing what I am supposed to be doing is because other people are doing what is sensible.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

The friend of my enemy is (To a slightly lesser extent) still my enemy. If the primary enemy were to attack, their friend would back them up.

Take out/hinder their friend, they get no/less backup. That's totally logical.

Also, I think my mortality rate should be lowered, because the genetic research may have prevented the toxin killing so quickly, and the advanced immune system would have helped too.

90% or something.

2Xeo5.png

Most of what you just said was wrong, as far as I understood the wikipedia page I did my research on it was TWh, not MWh, the reason I didn't post a link was because it was on no.wikipedia.org, notice the no in front? That means it's a Norwegian page (where it was named (and should be globaly as it is Norwegian) saltkraft, and when I tell you "kraft" means power, then you should get it without translation). Also I never sold saltpower, I gave it to you all. Also we have Project Evergreen, project Virtual Mass, underwater colonies, etc.

Cooperating on something allows for it to be done faster and cheaper per person, no one ever said it would go perfectly smooth.

And for the military research, here I became allied with Japan, I helped it, that made Australia so pissed it just recently sent missiles at me without me having done anything aggressive towards it, and that just because it didn't trust Japan.

Australia just lost 99% of it's population, and it's enemy was decimated by itself, so I fired the missiles at the person closest to the decimated enemy.

And who the hell cares if I didn't have a reason, the UN is too busy, nobody else has enough manpower to do anything, and, well, Hegemony is going down the drain, so I might as well go on a violent rampage in the final days.

PS. Archi concluded already that underwater colonies would take you about 30 years per to build and cost you something like 200 billion if you made them out of plywood.

2Xeo5.png

He did not say any time, he just said expensive and it was bullet-proof glass and concrete strenghtened with titanium rods.

He posted a wall of text explaining that for it to cost anywhere near 5 billion it would need to be created from plywood, and using those materials it would cost like 1 trillion and take 30~ years.

2Xeo5.png

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmotic_power

Oh the difficulty...

Also we have Project Evergreen,

Oh yes...A project to uber screw the ecosystem...lets make GM trees and scatter them across the Earth.

project Virtual Mass,

No idea what this is

underwater colonies, etc.

Already stated why this is a bad idea...

Cooperating on something allows for it to be done faster and cheaper per person, no one ever said it would go perfectly smooth.

Rarely. Typically co-operating would shave off a few months...and of course it would be cheaper per person...instead of 2 projects there is 1 project. That is just common sense.

And for the military research, here I became allied with Japan, I helped it, that made Australia so pissed it just recently sent missiles at me without me having done anything aggressive towards it, and that just because it didn't trust Japan.

Yeah...The whole Genocide thing...Bad Ross, how could you not trust Retech after he tried to extermine you...I want you to go over there and appologise to him...yes I know he has just got out a high powered sniper's rifle and blown your arm off, but that is no excuse...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saltkraft

You probably won't understand most of it, but look down at the Potesiale(potential) part, I'm guessing you understand 12TWh.

Oh, btw Project Evergreen was only planted in places nothing else could grow, so there was no ecosystem to ruin unless you believe trees kill animals. But how were they GM? All they do is survive extreme cold and thin air.

Also Ross acted hostile towards me before Japan tried to unleash Ragnarok/doomsday/the apocalypse.

Transformed into information? What?

Japan sends 25 stratos jets piloted by people who have lost their families on a suicide mission into Scandinavia, loaded with Anthrax, and aimed at major cities which are still standing.

Doom, not an option. Retech has already demonstrated illogical desire to "Win" and will probably try to finish us off straight away.

I wasn't trying to win. I was trying to finally get payback for the invasion you launched on me. I'm reminded of the words of Rocco, who once said that I should act like a superpower and defend myself. As I quickly discovered, an uber navy does not help when the enemy has uber weapons that they can use on you. So I went with my weapon of last resort, which was basically an unreasonable super weapon in itself, to either completely wipe you out or have it completely ignored, to show that superweapons are stupid for the game. Basically, point is that ICBMs were unreasonable (in my opinion, not really the point at the moment), so I decided to go with my own unreasonable weapon.

Since I have sacrificed myself to prove this point, I think that the anthrax weapons should be "reversed" as if it didn't happen, but the firebombing should still be calculated. Japan should just be a fiercely isolationist country when played by the moderator, who commits total war when attacked.

The complexity of the task astounds and amazes.

Calculations suggest that where rivers flow into the salt sea water, an in Norway generate about 12 TWh per year, equivalent to about 10% of Norway's energy needs. In the global scale is expected to have potential for 1600-1700TWh/år. As long as there is water in the river, this will be a perpetual source of energy without pollution

Oh, btw Project Evergreen was only planted in places nothing else could grow, so there was no ecosystem to ruin unless you believe trees kill animals

Obvouisly seeds can't spread.

But how were they GM? All they do is survive extreme cold and thin air.

Genetically Modifed...though you could say they were God Modded as well...since the phrase 'Survive Extreme Cold and lack of good atomsphere' is not one I would readily think would develop in 2010...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Indeed, Retech the martyr.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

I say we just "reverse time" back to when the bomb was launched and stop it. Retech only played a martyr to make some of us realise that what happens frequently here is too OP and should be disallowed, thus his ban shhuld be lifted and the last pages erased.

Nah, I guess the ban was a good thing. I was getting a bit too involved in the game. Anyways, I was just mad that I was being portrayed as evil when Italy was the one that was invading. I was considering sending in my fleet, but then they would've been shot down by ICBMs, which are a fraction of the price. So I just went ahead and launched my attack all-out, since killing a few civilians seems to generate the same amount of uproar as massacring a continent.

Or we could just not...Since no one else decided to launch a genocidal attack regardless of the consequences...To prove a point or otherwise...

I don't think Retech should be banned, I think that people should wake up and realise that they need to make sure that no nation develops to be too far ahead of any of the others.

People just need to have a modicum of responsibility...

Would it be possible to calculate the fire bombing, regardless if the anthrax attack actually happened or not? I don't think that would be overpowered, and fire doesn't spread TOO far out of the borders.

Some will get through, and then you'll be on the same level as the rest of us.

I don't really care, Retech just screwed the game in the hopes of "Winning" by pulling an incredibly unrealistic move that only an omnicidal maniac would pull. I doubt any of your soldiers would have agreed to such an attack.

Meanwhile, it backfired, and Japan got hit just as badly.

I expected that Japan would've been destroyed, one way or another. After all, that's generally what happens when you commit mass genocide. I think the only way the attack backfired was that it hit unintended targets, and that it will probaly be reversed. (Which is a good thing, but I still wanted to hit Australia, Italy, and Turkey either way, since I knew you would just keep getting stronger and that I had one last chance before that).

I have reached my verdict. Nothing happened with the anthrax bombs. We already figured his attack in the past, and it never went through because his military simply ignored the order.

With that said, a national revolution overtook the Japanese government, extradited the Emperor to a world court hearing, and the Emperor was turned over to the Japanese people for execution by hanging by the neck until dead.

I would be in favor of a lower world population, but the anthrax bombings weren't really legitimate. If we do have some catastrophe, it needs to be from climate change.

With that said, I am going to be doing something shortly (going through Archi first) that might be of interest to some people.

Anyways, I was just mad that I was being portrayed as evil when Italy was the one that was invading... So I just went ahead and launched my attack all-out, since killing a few civilians seems to generate the same amount of uproar as massacring a continent.

There is a big difference between a developed nation slaughtering innocent civilians and a despotic nation slaughtering civilians...You wanted to pretend you were an evolved nation with an empire, you take the price that goes with it.

Would it be possible to calculate the fire bombing, regardless if the anthrax attack actually happened or not? I don't think that would be overpowered, and fire doesn't spread TOO far out of the borders.

No. You launched a stupid attack and now we all have to deal with the consquences, and the Anthrax attack isn't overpowered...it was powerful... There is a massive difference between something being unrealistically, and something being realistically horrific.

And it was not merely about you fighting to defend yourself...No one else was taking any action, everyone else had backed off, for whatever reason, and then you went and demanded that the attack be fired. It was an internal matter, driven entirely by Indonesia and you just used it to justify destroying your enemies.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I wasn't referring to the price to me. Anyways, fire bombing is neither genocidal or ridiculously gamebreaking, which is why I still wish it was calculated, since anthrax bombing was ignored. I decided to launch the attack when I discovered that I could not reclaim Indonesia. Like I said before, I considered Indonesia a necessity, and since it didn't exactly seem feasible to reclaim it, I decided to destroy the nations which caused me to lose Indonesia in the first place.

I would've been much happier with Indonesia and not destroying my enemies, but destroying my enemies is much more appealing to me that sitting by and letting them keep what they gained from the attack.

The Scandinavian governement sends a message to the Japanese people: Your leader is a friend of the Scandinavian nation, an execution will not be tolerated, we request you allow him to control the empire with these restrictions; he may not use any bomb stronger than a MOAB, he may not use biological weapons, he may not enforce labour, he may not use torture, he may not target any civilian settlements, any violations, including this one, will be punished in a way not harming you.
