They should have to be spotted, just like everything else. I just fire a round in the middle of them and they trigger each other. instant anti-explosive ribbon. I might quit this game. All of my prior tactics were nerfed to useless in the update, and now the game leaves me rage quitting and frustrated even after I quit. And nothing can beat the miniguns.I meant in general, are they more worth using anyway? I know they're for ground targets, I'm just wondering whether they are better (get you points easier) than heatseekers as an additional weapon. Not really worth using heatseekers as I never kill with them, but rocket pods look useful for ground targets which are easier to take out than other jets. :P Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. The new maps just don't seem like they'll be much fun on the console with only 24 players per match. Many times I've seen helicopters and tanks just sit in the spawn the entire round in conquest. Look up on various jet guides that teach about the usage of rocket pods.I cannot stress that fact enough, you have to use them on your own to determine your own opinion. Probably to balance the fact that Viper's have 2 miniguns and counts as a spawn point where a Z-11 is basically a propeller and some glass. I'll change it to the pistol I want at the main menu, enter a game and it's already back to default M9 or whatever. Happens every game. Really annoying. Is Karkand out now? I tried using the Rex, but with the connection issues with this game, every time I could get a second shot off, they'd always kill me. I really hope they fix sniping. Only 6 in clip, and 2 to kill with dead accuracy at close range doesn't make for a beastly gun. Zierro Posted December 8, 2011 Share Posted December 8, 2011 The maps are finally starting to grow on me. Certain stages just aren't fun with certain game modes, like Kharg Island + Rush. One complaint I have is that the Support's suppression doesn't seem to be doing it's intended job. As opposed to blinding my field of vision, they more often than not just sparkle at me and reveal their location. All of which are quite awesome, though the ballistic scope default is hilariously unnecessary. Working on the 2nd stage weapons now, though it means I have to start using the M320 which I'm atrocious with. Whatever. I went 21-5 being a Viper gunner for this sick pilot. Ended the round with 13,000+pts from hovering over flag caps. Also, I think it was Wake Island assault, but as the defenders, you get the terrain advantage of urban buildings before enemy attacking tanks role in. Literally camped on one roof for 10 minutes and got like 3 tank destroys and like 12 kills. Bloody brilliant! They also seem to have fixed the mine mechanic, where you can only see them under certain circumstances that I've yet to determine instead of being huge red squares visible from the next level...
