sarg1010 Posted November 15, 2011 Share Posted November 15, 2011 Just went 6-4 flying a jet for my second time. Was really fun. Two of the kills were in a tank that I blew up with the main gun. Was epic. For my other one, I was locking on to a helicopter in the air, flying straight at it. I locked on, and fired the missile just in time, crashed into the helicopter, suicide and a kill. I did not get downed by any missile last night. Any starting out pilots should really learn that maneuver. The sniping on this (with the SV98 at least) is a lot more consistent for me.@Orpheus: It's the same for me, barely any actual jet deaths from jets or AA launchers, but a whole load from crashing into other jets and really thin things, like the crane on either Op. Firestorm or Kharg Island. And my jet randomly decides to drop out of the sky sometimes. Sniping in hardcore on BF3 is pretty messed up. Like I've said multiple times before, I've been killed in one shot from full health, no headshot, by a MK11, but have needed three shots from a SV98 to kill a guy. In BC2, atleast if you managed to hit them, you got a kill MOST of the time, which is how it should be. The Rex isn't too good. Better off sticking with the Grach, since it's much faster, since you won't have time to get off the shots needed to kill someone with the rex. Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. I was flying my jet a bit too low and crashed into some trees at full speed on Caspian Border. I jumped out and I saw my jet standing on the ground completely intact and you can still get into it. lol Some ground cover is glitched; I've had that happen when actually flying too low; all of a sudden I hit a signpost and just stopped. All of the people I know who are seriously good at jets have a joystick (I play on the pc). Plus slowing down into turns cuts your turn radius in like half. A good one. Given, the people in that squad were total bros. And whatever you call a female bro. Two: I find it vastly more enjoyable to be a part of a close-knit, coordinated team rather than being able to talk to three people out of thirty. Vehicles are a fun gimmick and all that, but BFBC2 is an incredibly well-balanced game and even the base gunplay is superb. It's not exactly rocket science to slap 2 C4s on the back of a tank and press the detonator. By that logic, wouldn't it be better for support to have the Soflam/MAV. You know, to support other people. except snipers are called "recon" which is clearly defined pertaining to the purpose of the T-G1S, SOFLAM and the MAV. besides, you can only plant one C4 at a time in BF3. Support is literally what it sounds like as well, supporting cover fire [suppressive LMG] supporting hail fire [mortar] and ammo drops.
