Crowns, tt updates, they are out to get us. It doesn't matter. Unless Jagex rereleases rares, most of these updates will have no real effects on the price of rares over the long run. People could always ask for assists to cut onyx and I doubt it's to hard to find someone with relatively low crafting. Also maybe people will decide to pot for the quest, maybe their minds will never even come to onyx. More importantly it's just far too big of a coincidence to not have a large effect.
