Any theories on how onyxes lost a third of their street, and the gems are now around a crown (instead of 1.5)?

Uncut onyx= Crown

Onyx ring=more then 1 crown.

Hey guys. I haven't played Runescape in a while and I dont much anymore so I dont really know what the prices are like. I want to buy a spectral spirit shield cause they kinda look cool, and when I come on thats all I tend to do. Slay and try to look good, haha.

So I have two questions:

1. Can spectrals be bought in the GE?

2. If I start playing again in a few months will I have lost a lot of money with it? Are they stable?

I was in world 2 today and saw a buying offer of red mask +40m junk, so I'd say if they were crashing they aren't now. Most selling offers are going for only one crown, so they haven't fully recovered street price yet.

I wouldn't trust W2 spam, or RSOF posts. a lot of them are only price manipulation posts. For in-game real offers, i'd only trust an accepted second trade screen, where you are the only one that can still cancel the thread. that proves the sincerity of the offer.

That's how it is and I don't dispute it. A week ago uncut onyx = 1.5 crown, onyx ring = 2 crowns. That's what the question was - what possible explanations are there for the sudden loss of street?

35-40m with terrible junk.

 

Why are valuable items suddenly crashing?

The speculation bubble burst. Referring to h'weens santas, they've been bought out for too long; referring to claws/GWD, players panicbought due to perceived inflation from the boots update (which I would argue will have a negligible effect on the economy).

I agree that the final outcome on the economy will be negligible, however, I would have expected lower rares (Green mask, santa) to have been bought out faster, due to the few with a suddenly far greater cash pile.

I'm starting to get hopeless now, does anyone actually know what the chances of snipeing a Divine sigil off G.E are? Is it even possible to try snipe without the sigil updateing +20m. As it does update every day due to BSS or w.e, i've tried 3 times puting offer within 3 seconds, getting sick now jsut want the shield so bad :/

Or wait for the street price to crash to something reasonable. Not long ago, Divine easily went for a Red hat, if not close to a White. Now it's either worth a Yellow, or something between Purple and Yellow. Of course, that might just mean Phats went up. And you could always try your luck at Corp, my Divine was an FFA drop.

I'm pretty sure partyhats went up. SS stayed the same price so that may be the reason why divines costs so low.
