To the bankers in the Bank Of Runescape. First of all i would like to congradulate you on an excelent job at keeping millions of peoples items safe in your bank, (apart from draynore, but i believe you did replace the items.) But it has come to my attention that many players are unhappy with the layout of the bank, having all the items in a list can make finding even the easiest items very time consuming. Here i have a suggestion that has been supported by many of the runescape players. I have even got a picture i have made for you. If you could please show this to the head banker (apologise for me for i don't know his name), you will make many players very happy. Thagern NEW BANK PAGE! We all know how frustrating it is trying to find an item in the current Runescape bank, many people give up and buy another of the item. This suggestion is a total make-over if you will of the current Runescape bank, which incorperates new features which will greatly help in organising, and finding items in your bank. Added features: 1: The bank is split up into 10 bank slots. These slots can be used to store all the items, and make navagating through the bank easy. All slots can be renamed by players to suit their needs. 2:Drop Item feature which allows players to drop unwanted items under them; juat drag the item to the 'drop item' icon and it will be dropped :D . 3: Space Left which shows players how much space they have left in their bank. A max of 400 items can be kept in the bank. 4:Lock and Unlock which are used to keep players items in the position the player wished them to be. Items which are locked are shown by a gold padlock at the bottom right of the locked item. 5: A new option to be able to change which bank format you wish to use, this will be useful for F2P and new players. 6: Auto-Sort gives you the option to automatically sort the items in your bank. it gives the options Alphabeticaly and Amount; A-Z, Z-A, Least to Most, Most to least. For more info on individual parts of this, see below: ____________________________________________________ When you first enter the bank after the new updates (fingers crossed), you will have the option to edit all the bank slots as you wish. All your items will appear in the BIN slot. jaklumen Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I think it's a little too complicated. It's not exactly difficult to keep your bank organized by yourself. I put fish together, tools together, runes, rares, etc and it only takes about 5 minutes to clean my bank every couple of weeks IF it even needs it. So many buttons and options would likely result in people accidentally sending their items away to the donation center or whatever, not being able to find things, and tutorial island would take an extra 2 hours just to explain the bank system to new players. What we have is fine, I think. Selecting a stat and being able to view all items related to it may be cool in a way, but it just seems like too much extra work for Jagex's part. I would rather see (*glances at the other ideas on this board*) POH's out, new hairstyles, weapons, etc, than have Jagex wasting their time on something as complicated and unnecessary as a super deluxe banking system. I agree that the system would confuse a lot of people and be very difficult to explain on Tutorial Island. I know nothing about Java programming, but I'd imagine this code would take up a lot of bandwidth. Runescape is a memory hog enough as it is. You want it to be worse? I see this being more realistic if Runescape was no longer a browser game (i.e. on a CD or DVD you pay for instead) and if it was marketed and designed to an older audience. I'm not saying I dislike the idea. But I can't see it implemented into the game as it stands now and as complicated and likely memory intensive as it is. p.s.
