After almost 1 year of this suggestion being posted, Jages still seems to be ignoring this suggestion, so it seems spam (not ham) will be the only way to get the message across. I have written a generic message for everyone who wishes to send to Jagex, in hope for them to see this. To send this message, click on the 'Comment on our service' button on the main screen, then under 'other comment' click 'Here'. Log in and copy and paste the below message and send it. i would advise people to only send it now and then, so lower the risk on Jagex becoming peeved off, and giving out black marks. Only participate if you want to.

not sure if this has been posted already, but it would be cool to have a control f-like feature for the bank (maybe a search bar?) where you could type out the name of the item you're looking for and it would hilight it for you?

:? Not being funny, but my bank is fine as it is. You talk about precious minutes, but surely this new system would take longer to find items, lock/unlock items, move items, withdraw items and rename items than at present. I think Jagex will get round to updating the bank sooner rather than later but I doubt it will be as complex as the suggested system.

I like the idea, but prehaps it would be easier to make if there were a certian number of item slots per section.

 

 

 

Just a thought-it wouldn't be ideal, but it would require less programming on jagex's part.

 

 

 

 

 

If there were, say, 50 item slots per section, with less for f2p, it would make jagex's job a lot easier, as they could just partition the current bank system.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only reason I can't see this being implimented is that it would require numerous new tags on every item, and that adds up in memory per character size. It would also require a number of additions to the current system as it would have to remember 12 or so new strings of characters.

 

 

 

In all, it wouldn't be much more memory per player, but the memory for the whole populace of runescape....

 

 

 

 

 

Prehaps make it a members only feature, or close renaming to nonmembers. Nonmember banks arn't that big anyways, as I'm going to learn very soon (becoming a freeloader in a few weeks for the possible 7 hours of homework per night I could be recieving-it's unlikely, but i've heard horror stories...).

..... What? You can't just take someone's idea and post it somewhere else... Only the person that made the original idea can post it.

I really support your Idea, seems to make rs easier, however I retired my self, so just saying it is good, in fact, for those that still play.

should be done, i've been saying that for ages. although by spending a month a year organizing ones bank and sorting things, looking and putting things in place jagex extends your commitment. its their business model man, it should soooooo be done. but sadly wont be.

Wow, I have many times called on my friends for a long rant about the outdated bank system on RS.

 

 

 

These rants usualy end with me saying RS just needs another 4 pages of space or to be catagorised similer to the bank set up in RsC except with more pages and catagories.

 

 

 

This is exactly what i had invisioned.

 

 

 

While getting that setup compatable for freeplays may be difficult it is an excellent idea and deserves the support of the whole runescape community.

 

 

 

Also seeing jagex's reply to your idea would be great.

this is a great idea i like it all however i dont fully understand the lock idea, but wont be checking this post in the future. It takes me like 2 minutes to look through all my bank stuff this would really help!

but i think its not really that good for non members because they dont have much bank space for the catergories
