March 4, 201016 yr Is there a purpose behind this odd hitpoints update? Make the noobs happy because the 0s hurt their feelings. No really, its that levels 1-20 will be seeing more updates because of independent testing conducted by behavioral physcologists to help Jagex recruit more players in the 8-14 age group. However, older players may find that they only spend several hours at this level and not appreciate the subtle brillance and complexity of updates that add 0s to the numbers flashing on the screen. You know, for someone of your level and experience, I would think that you would understand the significance of the hitpoints update. It concerns me that you don't. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
March 4, 201016 yr You know, for someone of your level and experience, I would think that you would understand the significance of the hitpoints update. It concerns me that you don't. It concerns me that half the people commenting on it don't see a damn thing except what Jagex said about the low levels. Read the last paragraph and think for more than 2 seconds. The possible applications of this change are staggering and, while it will take some getting used to, this will open up whole new elements to the game. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

March 4, 201016 yr Hp update = dumber than dumbExplaination why they did it is a joke. "Cause we don't want to see the noobs getting discouraged by all the 0s."Are we still playing runescape here? I am really finding it hard to see this as the same game I started in 05.Really not happy with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!So like what happens to dharok? How does that work now? Its based on consititution, life points, or pure stupidity?I'm leaning towards 3...So much for tanking anything, now that numbers that used to be rounded to zero are going to do some damage. :x LoL agreed i logged on looking at my hp and being like "wtf?" then i read this update about how hitting high is cool and how they go and rename a skill and try to make it less confusing which inturns only makes it more confusing because your used to the other way. Be prepared for more skill name c hanges i guess.
March 4, 201016 yr The HP thing was a horrible update. Will you please go back to RSOF? Explain why you think it is a "horrible" update. This update was a precursor for many more updates. Now, Jagex can create special items, such as high level armor and weapons which can raise your life points temporarily or during a specific time. You must look beyond the current appearance of the skill and look towards the horizon.
March 4, 201016 yr Fair warning - BH +1 worlds are bugged and you will randomly not protect your 1 item. I've heard that iit's actually a bug that people are abusing though.. Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system Brawler guide is being finished!

Could have been done without adding another zero to everything. You are the one who thinks too simply. Exclusive Legacy Mode Player He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Lol
March 4, 201016 yr The only thing that they did wrong with this update is not immediately having any constitution boosting items -- if there were some, then I would have to imagine there would be better reception to this update -- that is, once these people got over their illiteracy to see what was going on. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

The reward could have been some sort of constitution boosting item the first time that gradually got better every time you beat it up to a certain amount of times. After it's fully upgraded you would just get bonus xp.(please note that's not the actual reward)

I agree, and I think the Strange Power area might be released soon, hopefully providing those items. March 4, 201016 yr I'm not against this HP update but why couldn't they have just added some HP boosting armour how it was? :S

Could have been done without adding another zero to everything. You are the one who thinks too simply. Thank you for that insightful look into my personality. In addition to solving the problem with allowing a higher maximum number of "life points", this also fixes problems with rounding errors, meaning that hits that would've been rounded down are now counted, speeding combat up by a small amount (usually 2% or less, but there's still an increase). I also think it looks better even though it is going to take getting used to. That and in about two weeks, everyone will be used to it. http://www.runescoop.com/soapbox/2010/03/03/issue-10-%E2%80%93-20000-for-that-ipod/ -- read that -- a level-headed look at people acting like idiots after this update. March 4, 201016 yr Worst update in the history of rs. Even worse than December 2007. LOL.

March 4, 201016 yr All they did was add another 0, do you all REALLY need to complian? Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

March 4, 201016 yr OK so now the rants forum of rsof have officially made there move into edgeville. I was just standing there going for the fletching rock and got into a conversation with someone who hated the hp thing. I finally explained to him why the update was good and he said he was fine with it. THEN he started his little rant about how jagex could spend our money on something else, we went back and forth on it some more then 5 seconds after I said something like 20 people came and started there own personal rants about the hp thing..... There's no stopping them on this update they're going to take over runescape as we know it.

March 4, 201016 yr Good riddance to any of them who do not have the intelligence to either recognise the purpose or to realise it once it has been explained to them. Want to be my friend? March 4, 201016 yr I'm almost expecting jagex to add some sort of a compromise soon - like a filter for it or something :wall: dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project.
March 4, 201016 yr Well, judging by the fire cape compromise that they actually implemented (2000 points LOL, GF noobs, if you "can't" get a fire cape then fork that 5m worth of points over pls), I don't think they're going to listen to all the whiners on this one thankfully.
March 4, 201016 yr Ya... the whining is out of control. Stuff like the PK riots were ok but this is a logical change that has absolutely no impact on the gameplay. Infact I am surprised you guys managed to discuss it for 27 pages. I though the firecape compromise was much more interesting overall. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. ^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one

Mostly because of the fact that almost all the 'whiners' are complaining simply because of the fact that they don't like it.Sure it will take some getting used to but people need to realize that this is just a stepping stone towards future content.
