There is a piece of the statue for each of the non-combat skills mentioned above. Each one is made up of 2 strange rocks found while training. Once you have obtained a pair, you will receive no further strange rocks from that skill until you have collected the pieces from all other non-combat skills.

Keep an eye out for new pieces; the first time the statue is rebuilt your Kudos with the museum's research team will increase. The exceptionally diligent may find themselves rewarded even further.

Building it more than once must have a better reward...

Since rocks are not stackable in your bank, that's a lot of wasted bank space...

i'd imagine you'd be able to put pairs of them on the base each time

but still... this update is a troll

jagex should just come out and tell us what the reward is, unless the reward really is massively awesome, which my gut doubts

Well I logged out since I'm tired of RS now.

Some things I did:

Crafted P ess one at a time by dropping and picking up.

Mined P ess - got stones in less than one inventory

Crafted hardleather bodies so I didn't break the bank

Made Energy pots because I didn't want to waste any good herbs

The rest is self-explanatory except

Hunter was annoying. I got the first with falconry but then switched and got the second with red chins.

Same with Smithing. Got the first with addy bolts, tried addy bars, but got the second right when I switched to steel bars.

^ So you have to finish the minigame 30 times in order to finish the statue in your POH?

If that's the case, then that statue better have some fat bonuses or be the most bad [wagon] thing ever.

but when you think about it the idea of this is to get players to train a variety of different things, it's not meant to be a sprint towards the reward. For most players, myself included, i will gladly accept an extra 9k-15k or w/e it is i get for training something. This game just gives you more incentive to switch it up, say one day i do fishing, then the next i do agility, then the next i do herb, while you dont have to train for a specified amount of time i still get that sweet free exp, all the while just training a variety of skills in the way i normally would.

Where are people getting these absurd numbers from. To me it just looks as if you now have to repeat the building process for a second time inside your POH to complete your own statue. Then that statue may give some form of reward. Why you think you have to do it 30 times is beyond me as it has been said that you no longer do anything at the museum and build your own statue. I don't expect you to build it, then the museum man come, break it and give you another part of the statue.

I'm not sure either but I think they're going by the fact that it took 30 pieces to build the original statue in the museum.

For what it's worth, the Replica Statue Piece's examine is: "An intricately carved replica statue piece"

It has a Look At option which says, "This replica piece of the statue of Dahmaroc was created for you by the archaeologists of Varrock Museum."
