Power
At diango in draynor he has a new right click option. It is "redeem-code" and if you choose it he says he has nothing to give out yet. This seems like a rwt thing but it might not be. Anyone elses thoughts?
Bladewing
Supposedly you'll get a code for attending runefest and you can redeem that for an in game item which is presumably decorative only and untradeable. J35u5_M4
I don't like that :o, people who attended RuneFest get exclusive items? D:. What about those who can't afford to travel to London to attend it? :/

Aiel
I'm hoping its either purely visual, or access to a pre-release beta testing for updates. Either way I'm not going. I highly doubt that Jagex is going to give a real, beneficial item to people just because they went to RuneFest. Its going to be something cosmetic for sure. Even access to a beta test would be a bit much considering how uptight the RS community is when it comes to exclusive stuff. Hmm it still doesn't seem like something jagex would do but I just really hope it's not a rwt type thing. emers8529
some people are gonna pay a couple hundred dollars to go to a 1 day party... maybe more depending on where they live. and all jagex gives them is pixels...thats bad. :-o I like getting hard when I PK
spooferfish
They are giving you an item in game for buying their RL ticket.. I really hope they don't do that... I like having limited items, but I can't afford to go to Runefest with it being so far away.. :(
Krampell
They have three options. 1. Give away a item if you buy a ticket for $115.2. Add a RS shop function in Jagex store where you can buy any item at all, kinda like their new game whatever it's name is.3. Add a RS shop function in Jagex store where you can buy redeem only untradable items that are either, funny, cool or just pointless, just for the sake Jagex making more money. I wish it's 3 if it's any of those.
Mecakoto
I'd laugh if everyone gets the same code. The challenge of a mistake is not to avoid it. The challenge of a mistake is dealing with the outcome. Proud of who I am and what I am.

Neos_Matrix
Im sure someone "will" sell this code. That code has Real-World-Trading written all over it. I even suggested this on the RSOF. lordkafei
I, for one, will be hugely disappointed if Jagex goes down this road. It's a real-world event, shell out some promotional money & come up with a commemorative real-world item. Surely there is some non-clothing or one-size-fits-all item that you can come up with as a memento. Giving out limited edition pixels for expensive real-world events not only sets a bad precedent, it also comes across as cheap & stingy. 12pure34
Points at World of Warcraft, they do this all the time. Not a problem at all, but then again real world trading in that game is an entire different story. Stop panicing. O dear, someone will sell their cosmetic item. The last few cosmetic items they brought us weren't my taste anyway ;) If you get a '' extra'' for attending the Runefest, be my guest.
@Dan3HitU
I think the code will be on the ticket itself. [-- DYNAMIC SIGNATURES FOR RUNESCAPE 3 & OLDSCHOOL 2007 RUNESCAPE --]
bored321
Its to get a banner that says runefest 2010 on it, which was found in the cache. Probably get code after purchasing or on purchased tickets. Btw, you don't provide a Runescape name when purchasing the ticket, so thats why they added the redeem feature else they would have just added it to a named account. SO in theory anyone could use the code, it wont have to be the buyer of the ticket. (RWT anyone?) Thanks Gradeskip93 for my awesome sig!
Maximusa
I dont know if im going to the event however its more likely I wont be. However I think its good to give a gift ingame to those people who do attend. My only concern is people selling the code if its possible. There many ways to prevent this so I hope they do prevent it. Just lock it to an account or something. VMeh BlogV >Miscellaneous Goals< http://www.rsbandb.com/sigs/sig108/bazzaminxer.png
Nurse_Renard
I don't get why everybody is so bothered by a simple banner item that informs people you were sad enough to waste £75 to go to Runefest (I don't personally feel this way, but I imagine thats what everyone who sees anyone with the damn thing will think.) Now if Jagex gave everyone a Armandyl staff when they went to Runefest, I would understand, but as it stands, I really don't get what the fuss is about. CLICK THE IMAGE TO GO TRY SHARK ATTACK DANGIT. Dire_Wolf
A code that will give you a cosmetic item if you attend Runefest? You sure you wanna make that move Jagex? You shouldn't. Cosmetic updates - matters from little to ALOT to players. Example, i would like a Bunny ears, but i don't like squirrel ears.
Orc
My opinion on the matter is that many many MMO's do this, and before i get bombarded with comments that RS is different and isn't "WoW", the underlying fundamentals are still the same. I can see why people would be upset if they didn't get the item, but i still don't see that as a reason why Jagex shouldn't implement this as a gift for people who went(are going) to RuneFest. (As that is what I am assuming it will be used for)
