geesch
Hey. I was just wondering what tasks people suggest blocking permanently. I currently have blocked hellhounds, living rock creatures, and skeletal wyverns. I have 2 spaces left, and expect i will block terrorbirds (once given the task). What is the final monster i should block?
Animaslayer
on my list i have black dragons (may unblock soon)bloodvelds ( boring as hell and always crowded, other place is annoying to get too)kalphites (bore me and i dislike cannon)something else i cant quite remember i suggest unblocking hellounds if you can use kuradel though, seeing as tho you can easily walk in and out to aggresify them and get a new task Dragon Drops: Platelegs x9, Med Helms x7, Plateskirts x4, Shield Left Half x3, At least 75+ Boots!, Hatchets x5, Ruined Shard x1, Solo Claws x2, Dragon 2Hander x1, Spear x2Whip x27, Dark Bows x9, Draconic Visage x1 <- do that when you see me :P
Nifflin
Hellhounds and living rocks are fast- just don't mine the rocks. In the end just block what you hate to do. I block-WyrmsBloodvelds, which i might unblock and cannon instead. Steel dragons, too slow for me at my levelsAnd one more, I can't remember. Block the things you don't find fun, that's pretty much it. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.
Ardzik
Suqash : Black Dragons : Black Demons : Bloodvields : Kalphites - here. They all was annoying and worthless tasks.
Aiel
Suqahs bloodvelds wyverns kalphites black demons. And also at whoever said to not mine living rocks: it's like 800k per task at one swing per kill...i'd block em if you can't mine them. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Grimy_Bunyip
I block warped tortoises, desert, jungle strykewyrms, and kalphites all 3 are horrible xp, even if you use cannons for the last 3.the first 3 are decent money, but not good enough. kalphites don't respawn fast enough for the xp rate to be good even when you cannon. PS kuradal doesn't assign warped terrorbirdsidk which master you're using.
SwreeTak
Block kalphites. They are so irritating... Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
Goldenjkered
I have Bloodvelds (Always busy, very unrewarding, and very boring to kill), Skeletal Wywerns (Not exactly easy to kill, and a pain to get the equipment together) and Kalphites (Usually busy, unrewarding drops, and rubbish xp). It really depends on what you like and dislike in a slayer task though. SirIzenhime
Suqahs (bad drops, high defense, annoying to get to)Black Demons (very boring, long task, with a pathetic drop table)Skeletal Wyverns (just plain annoying annoying, although I haven't tried them recently now that I have higher summoning  )Mithril Dragons (just annoying to me) (some of the things people block just surprises me  ) Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
aspeeder
I block Hellhounds (Bad experience with getting them as an unskippable 100th task, it was horrible...), Kalphites (Good exp if you cannon, but virtually no drops and I hate having to cannon tasks), Steel Dragons (Just getting used to Irons, and Steels seem waaaay too slow), Terror Dogs (Just plain annoying and I was getting them too often), and Living Rock Creatures (Can't mine them, boring, and people always crowding the lower lvls). Really it comes down to what you consistently hate as tasks; some tasks you hate on and off depending on luck or if you've gotten them too often but a task is worth blocking if you disdain doing them. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
Legionwizard
I ranged slay, and I got blocked (or desire to block): suqahs - cannoning them is money drain, they're annoying and bad dropskalphites - same as abovescarabites - you can slay the lower level ones in the "missing my mummy" quest spot, but I dislike the running and they're too low, drops prolly not worth it either Good thing bout ranged slaying is that some slay creatures become less of a hassle. Mutated bloodvelds are rather nice, but they take long (I don't cannon them), but you're guaranteed a nice range exp boost. Wyverns are pretty uncommon to get (or at least for me), and hey they might just drop a visage, bank the bones and you'll definitely profit. Black demons can be safespotted and they're okay when it comes to crimsons (and those are always wellcome to me). I've had metal drags blocked, but iron drags become rather easy to range with 90+ range (and full arma with full slay helm really helps, but don't buy arma if you're not gonna use it too often). Achieved quest (07/08/2009), woodcutting (28/06/2010), attack (21/07/2010), strength + constitution (07/08/2010), defence (26/09/2010), summoning (13/01/2011), herblore (03/03/2011), cook (31/08/2012), firemaking (01/09/2012), magic (08/09/2012), prayer (16/09/2012) and ranged (29/10/2012) capes. Soulthresher
I only block Warped Terrorbirds; its the only task I see worth blocking. I can get some nice melee experience off mostly anything else with 99 attack.
mister_moocky
Block whichever tasks you don't like. XP and/or money is worthless if you don't actually enjoy what you're doing; it's the point of playing Runescape after all. Personally I have suqahs and terrordogs blocked. If I ever get a wyvern task I'll block them as well. Thinking about blocking jungle and desert wyrms, they've got nice stackable drops but are slow and annoying. quit
lagatag
I have aquanites, hellhounds, and warped terrorbirds blocked I blocked all 3 like literally days before Kuradal was released, which made hellhounds easy and she doesn't assign aquanites/birds. Never bothered to unblock since I don't need the space, and it's not like hellhounds are exceptionally great now. So in effect my block list is useless :\I guess if I ever decided to get a task from someone other than Kuradal it could save me, but that's very very rare. I'll probably end up blocking Suqahs (pain to get to and bad drops/xp) next time I get one, haven't had one in a while luckily. Keep one space open in case of some new horrible monster that gets introduced.
shawn3090
How are you guys blocking 5 things? I have blocked: Skeletal wyverns (just a pain), Hellhounds (used to get them as lots of repeats) and kalphites (just no) with 1 free space (was waterfiends until I got a good crush wep). tedbundty
I'd say either kalphites dagganoths or warped tortoises. Obtaurian
Hellhounds, Kalphites, Warped Tortoises, and Living Rock Creatures are all mandatory blocks, IMO. They're all way too slow to be worthwhile. The last spot is up to preference, but I would go with blue dragons (slow, but not too bad if you have a yak), suqahs (if you're not on lunars), possibly steel dragons (even with 84+ herblore, but this is kind of debatable), and possibly jungle or desert strykewyrms (slow). I'm probably missing something. My block list is very wacky because I'm primarily mage/ranged slaying. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
shawn3090
Warped tortoises are fine IMO. They updated the chime so it is automatic. Also, they yield some nice profit if you have a tortoise to save bank runs. [hide=Stats][/hide]"One death is a tragedy. The problem is that hellhounds, kalphites, and tortoises aren't fast enough. You should always make full use of your block list, and those are the best tasks to block, whether it's due to them being too slow, too unprofitable, too charm-less, or just too crowded. Usually it's a combination of these things. I'd take wyverns or iron dragons over any of these tasks any day. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. SirIzenhime
if you're problem is a task not being fast enough, you would block tasks like Suqahs and steel dragons, since their defense is so high compared to other tasks. Kalphites are near the top in terms of XP/Hr as a task, and with Hellhounds in Kuradals dungeon, they're much faster xp then any dragon. The only downside to Hellhounds is profit, but unless you never do clue scrolls, even that doesn't apply with them. Warped tortoise are extremely fast due to their low hp, low defense and fast spawn rate. The only downside there is finding an empty world. But if you go to a Foreign world, at most you'll hop twice for a world.------------------------- I guess I just never understood what people had against these tasks. When ever I get them, I actually get Happy because of how easy and fast they are.
