The issue being: Why do you care at all which hand your character uses to do different things? Good lord, a topic that talked about how the old wilderness was better would have been a better topic.But think of the possibilities of being ambidextrous! Double crossbow bolt barrage, anyone? And double weilding wouldn't be over powered if they added in a huge defence negitive. Like, most of the time your defence was normal, but it you got hit, you got hit hard because you have no sheild to block. That would be sort of like it would be in real life. If you were good, most of the time you would deflect with your other blade, but if someone got past your guard, that would be able to hit you for lots of pain. ZorathZ Posted June 4, 2010 Share Posted June 4, 2010 I have noticed that the Runescape character holds a sword in its right hand, implying that he/she is right-handed, yet holds bows (which are 2h weapons and could be held in either hand) in the right as well. I am right-handed, but hold bows in my left and pull the string with my right. Are Runescape characters ambidextrous?Okay... I have been a real life ranger (we call it archer actually, but whatever) for several years. And holding the bow with your left hand means you are RIGHT HANDED. Imagine what is most heavy. Holding a light metal or wooden object or pulling an incredibly powerful string capable of launching arrows several hundred meters. Let me give you a hint: It's the string. A left handed archer would hold the bow in his right hand. There is an incredible amount of persicion required by the hand holding the string, something which would be extremely difficult with your offhand.
