Metalcore Bands

Featured Replies

Lookin' for some good metalcore to add to my playlist and I need some suggestions.

Harsh, but understandable vocals(think All That Remains), fast-paced, awesome solos :shades:..

Parkway Drive

Bullet for my Valentine

Chromium

...how loosely do you define metalcore?

... A new genre. (ZING!)

Just kidding. Um only thing I can think of is Between the Buried and Me. Yea.

^ BTBAM is very good, not sure if they're quite metalcore, but it doesn't matter because you should listen to them anyways.

Protest the Hero is more metalcore-ish so you might like them. I don't like much metalcore so I can't recommend much else.

Killswitch Engage

Dope

Bloodsimple

Disturbed [arguably]

Shadows Fall

Trivium [arguably]

Atreyu [arguably]

In Flames [arguably]

metalcore is an interesting genre, because rarely is something strictly metalcore.

Honestly I have no idea what metalcore is these days and I tend to stay away from the genre. BTBAM is good though.

BTBAM has alot of mathcore influences.

Evita is a great band, local to me and I know the lead singer =D

Killswitch Engage - Alive or Just Breathing is one of my favourite metal albums of all time. Check it out!

Protest the Hero's Kezia is pretty much essential listening for anyone interested in metalcore.

Kezia is a damn good album.

Pick one.

Nobody cares what genre you consider good/not good hth!

Plenty of good s**t in the genre. Even your beloved /mu/ thinks so as well.

parkway drive is hardcore, but similar to metal core. They're also better than any other bands mentioned imo.

killswitch is good too

you should download MetalSwim. It's a free album from AdultSwim of all the metal music that's been featured in there shows

Eyes set to kill has one good album called Reach

Now the lead screamer left. They suck

They're post-hardcore, but your statement is very valid.

I agree, although I want to modify that, since it should be:

>Metal

>Metalcore

Just because they have the same word in their genre, doesn't mean they're in the same genre.

And it is certainly not about being "edgy" (if that's a word).

Heh, Evita is pretty nice actually. Decently interesting and the guitarist is a bit of a beast.

I would highly advise buying the album, sounds great in lossless.

Mastodon has nothing to do with metalcore tbh.

Unearth is actually one of the few metalcore bands I like.
