Icuownage
Sounds like something happened in the week your grandma doesn't want repeated. Or maybe they just had a fight and she was annoyed. It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time? Saru Inc
It took my like two paragraphs to figure out what the heck a "g'rent" was :o Anyways, this seems a bit... uncalled for. Meaning just because they were having a fight, simply means they were having a fight. You state that just because they are older doesn't mean they deserve the right to be rude, but on the other hand they shouldn't have to be happy all the time simply because they've been around for so long. Emotions never change, would you be as perplexed if your parents got into a fight that lasted a day or so? I don't wanna get old cuz leathery skin is gross. Might not be a popular opinion, but still. Gross. I love my grandma to death, but her skin... *shudders* I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. fastortoise
Noticing loved ones growing old is probably the most heartbreaking thing that ever broke my heart. Luckily for me, my grandparents were already extremely old and senile when I was young and now they're dead. However, since I was born when my parents were pretty old (I'm the youngest), I'm now noticing my own parents grow old. On a daily basis. It suuuuuucks. Worst thing in the world. My once all perfect parents suddenly became these old lump-of-flesh mortals. I discussed this with my brother who lives on his own and it turns out this is much easier to deal with when you don't notice the change on a daily basis. So you're pretty well off my friend. Love your parents as much as you can before they become old and senile.

blakdragon39
I've noticed my dad's parents growing old the last few years... They've always been "old" to me, but now it's getting worse and worse. :( My grandma has Alzheimer's, she doesn't talk very much anymore. Sometimes I wonder what she all remembers. There've been times when she's been in the living room (in the house they must have lived in for 50 years by now..) and she doesn't know where she is. It's really sad. :( But my grandpa takes care of her as best as he can. It's really sweet sometimes, when he calls her "sweetie" and stuff. :) I really wish society didn't have an issue with people dying when its there time. I don't know how many drugs my grandma is on, but it's probably way too many. I wish she could just die and go to a happier place, and not always be confused about where she is and what's going on. It must be scary. :( When I get that old? I REALLY hope the people around me will just let me die instead of trying to make me live forever. Shiny
Old people are happier, says Art of Manliness:You would be happier if you could get back to your college days, back to your 20s, right? Wrong. Happiness does peak at age 18 (man, I miss high school) but then it goes downhill until.age 50. It turns out that being middle-aged isnt the living funeral you thought it was. In fact most people are happier at age 85 than age 18. And its not because children have flown the coop and you have more time to play golf; the happiness reported by the elderly and middle-aged was not premised on children, gender, marriage status, or job. For reasons researchers do not yet understand, your brain just starts feeling better as you get grayer. So you can stop searching the internet for a time machine and look forward to swapping your chucks for orthopedic shoes. I can't wait to be old.
