Yeah, but you're forgetting that Jim DeMint started the recession.

They are legit. Can you just run if you feel like it or do you actually have to go through some sort of nomination process?

If you feel like it. I remember reading on a college site I was looking at that they encourage students to run for local government, including the state legislature. Tehre are fees, and you usually have to campaign, but not a whole lot.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

To actually get a job where you might have a chance at influencing the American government (congressman, senator, governor), it's going to require many thousands of dollars to sufficiently campaign. Basil Marceaux probably didn't fundraise much money, and thankfully he lost. He only got 5% of the vote in the Tennessee Republican Primary.

Alvin Greene on the other hand, won the democrat primary in South Carolina. He got 60% of the vote too, without as much as having a single campaign event. People like chipmunks, and they like the color green too. Perfect fit. He lost the general election though, to Jim DeMint, who caused the recession.

My boy Hank Johnson though - he's the real deal. US Representative and all.

I don't think he's as sinister as my girl Maxine Waters... This liberals all about socializing.... uh um... basically... taking over.... and the government running all your companies.

This makes me wonder what he would do if elected after a terrorist attack.

The Rent Is Too Damn High Party would of gotten my vote. Not because of the lulsy but because it's an actual good basis on getting elected.
