So yeah. I guess looking back at January's updates, it seems like it was fairly clan related. Will we be seeing a large amount of new bosses this year for MHing clans or group-skilling updates possibly? ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... pulli23
Unless jagex explicitelly allows for sharing clan website links & irc channels, runescape will never be worth anything clan wise.. Really the medium of the official forums & cc is so terribly limited (for one you have to be playing runescape, while a good clan always spans multiple games) that it's just a joke. EDIT: besides, 2008 was already the year of the clan updates? - As was 2009.. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Why are Jagex so forward with Pubs in RS, they are always mentioning them. They are pointless and if they replaced them all with nothing at all I still wouldnt care or miss them. 1593th to 99 Farming - July 08.

Bangin_Blonde
Runescape is a niche game in that it specializes with solo gameplay. They really shouldn't mess with that too much.
Emmentail
Clan base through a new "house portal" that you can build up with construction, costs lots of money + stuff? that would be cool, especially if tipit did one. But year of the clan? YEAR OF MAHJARRAT AND ELF QUESTS PLEASE. As for the RS community, anyone outside of TIF can go [bleep] themselves as far as i'm concerned! Or Clan Guild, or anything like that. Just not Clan house please! And btw thats a good idea.
The Observer
You'd be surprised at the number of users who are involved in the clanning community. The statistics that they give there are very small compared to the posts on Tip.it (and other fansites) comprised of it. Regardless though, many of the updates they did bring forth to the clan world has been beneficial to other players as well. Take Clan Chat for example. Has a wide variety of uses not just for clanning purposes. I'm personally looking forward to what they have up their sleeves.

But year of the clan? YEAR OF MAHJARRAT AND ELF QUESTS PLEASE. So you get a house different from construction houses in that it's tied to several people on a white list of sorts. It would need a code input instead of a name, since it can't start taking up name spots from regular people. I'd imagine a good solution would be a new room type where you can manage the clan part of the house.I see a "box" item where you can Add/remove from whitelist, mangage funds, build, etc. Everyoen in the clan can donate money to the box that you can't take out from the box. The money in the box is spent to build houses and possibly pay rent for thing like having a bank in your house, spawn monsters, fishing spots, party rooms etc whatever the [bleep] you want. The bank/resources are clan buildings only. This way, you could have a use for the house besides portals, glory teles, pray sum recharge and barrows repairs.I could honestly see a big clan having an amazing house, if jagex made it like that. On the other hand, I don't like clans nor do i like construction.I'd rather have a quest year, and/or another upgrades year. the upgrade year was the best year of all years gameplay changing wise. Quests/new bosses/game improvements for me please. (like said, new bosses will automatically help clans, same goes for old wild)
Sumpta
Runescape is a niche game in that it specializes with solo gameplay. They really shouldn't mess with that too much. Ugh, this. I loved the solo gameplay in a multi-player setting, it's why I chose RS over other online games. Then again, many group aspects in RS are so terrible (mini-games, DG teams,...). Maybe a year to rethink and update their team- and clan-based content isn't that bad an idea. It's just that I don't trust that Jagex recognizes this problem. I foresee them adding activities rather than perfecting what they have, frustrating the solo players even more. In any case, I'm planning to let my membership run out in a few weeks time. It's time for a long break.
Ginger_Warrior
If RuneScape wanted a game based around clans, why did they make obsessively hunting skillcapes - a largely anti-social, solo grinding activity - the only aim the majority of players really care about? Really, the design and structure of the game, mixed with overzealous rules regarding IRC and Skype just don't allow for a clan based game. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
