Troddles
(This guide is for lower level players with a fair ranged or mage level.) Tierd of trying to take that wine and having monks attack you? You probaly know that you can kill them before you take it, but you'll have damage done to you. Here's a safe spot, great to gain Exp fast, but it takes them a while to respawn: Also, some items to bring are: -Armour to protect yourself from the monks (Leather works best, if you really want protection, dragonhide.) -A bit of food to heal after takeing the wine, or being attacked. (Usually pike or salmon, any other will do though.) -Stat restore potions (Member Middle or Low level Players. You don't need them but they're pretty useful) And here is the use for the wine: -Ranging Potions Or you could just take the wine and drop it somewhere else. You decide. And one more thing, you don't HAVE to take the wine, you can just use this if your new at ranging or mageing, and the safespot doesn't always work, but it's worth a shot, right? BTW, Protect from mage doesn't really work here. And that wraps it up! Enjoy your evil wine! Comments accepted, but no flamers. Will update when I feel like it. Stely
How much are they worth?
Lews_Therin
How much are they worth? 1k each. The problem is that even if all the monks are dead, you'll get your hitpoints and stats pummled by Zamorak. Easier to just telegrab the wines. weasel10
Hihihihi!!! Also when noobs come and try to take it monks attk them. Noobs try to run but you can shut the door on them until they die!!! *Nervous giggle* And get noob stuff!!! hihihihi!!! Its so fun! They pm you after and swear at you trying to get their stuff back! And you say "No" *maniac laughter" This plan is so perfect its [developmentally delayed]ed~ On topic: Nice guide but I never seen any one buy it in f2p world. Perhaps rare people buy in p2p but cmon...How hard is it to get? A lot of people get it themselves. Nice anyways:) My VideoScape Blog Yes it is on video. Toxicologist
Here is a MUCH easier way: Get your prayer to level 43 and use Protection Prayers. The altar is just right next to you if you need to recharge. There, no need for safe spots now. Why do you resist? Zash
Are they seriously 1k each? Why would ppl buy them if they can just grab the wine themselves?
xXru1n3dXx
Are they seriously 1k each? Why would ppl buy them if they can just grab the wine themselves? Yeah they are 1k each. Probly because people just dont have the time to telegrab wines all day, and rather get a big ammount quickly by buying. Goobore
Also, some items to bring are: -Armour to protect yourself from the monks... No They should bring leather gear instead. Compare the magic defense stats of these items: (all pictures by DroolMAN) Obviously, you want to be wearing the green gear if you can or cow leather if you can't, but definately not armor. A few other things: -- since there is an altar there you can use Protect from Magic if you have the required prayer level. -- if you have the Law runes then just telegrab it -- if you talk to the monks first, then, IIRC, they don't curse you before fighting you. If you just take the wine they Curse you and then start to fight.
Sy_Accursed
thing is it is useless really ot free players and any member with half a brain or anywhere near decent stats will telegrab it Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Toxicologist
That is because their attacks are melee. Protect from melee works fine. It doesn't protect from the Flames of Zamorak though, which burns you when you take the wine and lowers your magic level. Why do you resist?
