Why can't F2P have...?

More bank space and some skillcapes to make getting skills have a real reason since we all know how to get money from melee :wall:

Capes of Achievement. Free players work just as hard, if not harder in order to max out certain skills. They deserve the recognition for a job-well-done.

Also ads typically only generate revenue if they're clicked on.

Ads posted on websites get money on a 'per-click' basis. So imagine how many accidental clicks the ads above the Runescape window gets; and if each click were on dollar-a-click setting, I'm going to assume it's clicked nearly 500-600 times through the course of the day. That's $500-600 a day.

That would be minimal money for Jagex then... As for achievement cape, I agree they work as hard if not harder, but I don't agree that they "deserve" them.

not bragging or anything as being a member, not trying to a smart aleck, but the reason the f2p does not get member items because f2p does not pay for the game, they play for free. If Jagex gives member stuff to f2p, all members would quit and become f2p, which means no more money for Jagex. And if you say "well we only want part of the stuff!" Well then players will feel Jagex has giving up on not making f2p updates, which means more f2p will be begging for more stuff and more stuff. And another thing, you have to be member to get skillcapes, you dont have to be member to use it's emote

Yeah that!

In fact I would have to say resource gathering skills are far better than melee in regards to making gp.

Every time an ad is on someone's screen Jagex makes money.

That's pretty short sighted... That's like saying everytime a F2Per logs on, Jagex loses money. We both know it's a false statement. Making money and getting revenues are two different things. Read up on business management, it wouldn't hurt one bit.

A few things i think f2p should definatley have is capes of acheivement it is a lot harder to get any cape of acheivement as a f2p then p2p,more bank space after a few quests bank space is very limited, and finally some new quests any player who is half good can complete the majority of quest list in one day high level f2p quests are dragon slayer and thts the end oh and forum posting

Skill Capes- Sure, from everything but a financial view it makes sense.

Bank Space- We don't really need it. I have several spots open at any given time.

Quests- We don't need more, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting another one or two.

Forum Posting- Just get 12.5M exp and you CAN post.

I think we need to get off the "F2P deserves skill capes more than P2P does, why don't we get them?" topic.

JaGeX made this game with 2 intentions;

1. Let millions of people enjoy a great game

2. Make money

In order to make money, they need to make solid reasons to pay $7.50 a month (yes, I am Canadian :D ) for extra features.

A skill cape is one of those features.

They should definately be equippable in F2P, but they need to be bought in P2P.

Actually, it was originally made for just a few people to enjoy. Then they decided to improve it and make it available to more people. And the main reason I think skill capes should be F2P is because they never once said they would be P2P items in the news posts. However, I also respect that, financially speaking, they should remain P2P.

I think that they should make a small pen right by the monastery that has These in it: Green, blue, and red baby dragons! They should have to finish the "Dragon Slayer" quest to enter it. And they should have a door that auto-closes connected to the pen t hat leads to another pen. It should have a green, blue, and red dragon in it. to enterthat pen, you HAVE to have an anti-fire shield/dragonfire shield to enter, and they need at least a combat level of 100 to enter it.

You have to take off everything except your gloves and boots. WTF JAGEX?

Don't forget about the ring, you can keep that one to :)

And your necklace.

And quiver! This is fun :P!

That is far too much. Apart from a magic update, we really don't need anything right now.

I sometimes think that it wouldn't be a bad idea to let non members have green dragons, at least

Green dragons wouldn't be TOO bad, but adding blue and red seems to be more than can be justified.

It's settled. F2P people should at least get green dragons. We have Anti-Fire Shields, so why not have a use for them?!? Should I make another topic in the Runescape suggestions forum? If so, do you want to be on the support list?

Wow not only is it untrue but it is in in all caps as well.

First off, turn off caps, second off F2P probably brings in at least an average of $4.00 per user (remember there is a lot more F2P than P2P) so in reality, F2P support the game but what ever.

Assuming you mean per year, that could be relatively accurate. However, any argument based on income generated by F2P will be written off as obsolete since it doesn't come from our own pockets.

Green dragons are an overpowered moneymaking method for f2p. They're more profitable and consistent than runite mining.

Look at hellhounds. Barely anyone wants to pown them and they only drop bones so they were made f2p.

Whereas that is true, I suspect the drops would be tweaked anyway, making the value of each drop significantly less overall. But unless they wish to give F2P dragon bones/hides, they would have to find an alternative 100% drop.

Perhaps replace dragon bones with big bones?

That would be the obvious answer for replacement bones. Maybe drop more than one, as well.
